ACL reconstruction
I tore my ACL and went to see Dr. Leavitt. I decided to get ACL reconstruction surgery. 3 months post surgery I was still not able to walk without a limp. I had sharp pain in my knee. I got an MRI and he told me everything looked great. Then 2 more months went by and I was having the same amount of pain and couldn’t walk well. He told me everything about it was normal. He said all ACL patients have pain for a year after surgery. But I decided to get another MRI. I found out that my ACL graft had failed and that my ACL had ruptured. I decided to get a second opinion from another doctor. He told me that the first MRI I had received showed that I had a partial tear…. Dr. Leavitt never told me that information. He downplayed my symptoms and did not tell me everything. I am very disappointed.

Great Doctor
Dr Leavitt did wrist and shoulder surgery on me after a fall in April, 2023. I am now 100% healed with full use. The surgery he did was a difficult one and his skills is reflected on my outcome. Plus the West Valley Hospital he uses is way more friendly and cooperative than any medical facilities I have ever used. Recommend this Doctor highly. Plus he is fun to be around a very normal human.

So happy I went to him
I tore a muscle and piece of bone off in my hand. He was super fast and getting me in and setting up my MRI. I had surgery yesterday and couldn’t be more grateful. He explained everything before surgery and put my mind at ease. The nurses and staff at West Valley Hospital were awesome. Thank you Dr Leavitt

Awful experience
I had been seeing Leavitt for a torn rotator cuff. He took a conservative route and I’ve been getting injections. I asked when surgery was necessary and he told me ‘when I couldn’t handle the pain anymore.’ I have had groin pain, buttock pain and both hips click and I have almost fallen twice. I can barely get around and in constant pain. I addressed this issue with Leavitt so I had X-rays done at the office that show arthritis. Injections weren’t an option because it was impossible to access. He ordered an MRI for replacement surgery. He said he treats the patient not the x-ray/MRI. I was so relieved I was making progress in diminishing my pain. When I visited him to go over my MRI results he completely changed my diagnosis! He said he DIDN’T see arthritis and that my left hip was fine. He said I had a contusion on my right hip from a direct fall, which I never had! Even suggested my last injection caused the contusion. That was over 3 years ago! Said repeat MRI in 6 months. Nope!

My experience with Dr Leavitt
It was easy to make an appointment to see me and than to schedule the surgery on may closed fracture of my right radius . Doctor offered me two options and helped me to understand which he thought is the best one for me. I chose the surgery and Dr. Leavitt did it professi0nally . He is a great orthopedic surgeon, friendly and I highly recommend him.

Run, if you can!
I was a patient of Dr. Leavitt’s & his PAC “Peter.” They performed Bilateral TKR surgery on me in Washington state. I’ve had so much trouble with both replacements due to Condylar offset, a placement problem that inhibits flexion. Last summer, my current Orthopedic Surgeon successfully did a revision of L knee & it’s wonderful now. But I’m wearing a big brace on R knee until I can get it fixed because I’ve fallen several times from instability.

I had a significant problem following knee replacement surgery. Prior to surgery, S Leavitt was very engaging, caring, and compassionate. After surgery when I went to him several times with a concern, he barley would make eye contact and denied there could be anything wrong without doing a complete exam on my hip and knee.

I saw Dr. Leavitt on June 9 2020. Dr. Leavitt, in the middle of a horrific pandemic was not wearing a mask when he saw me nor did he maintain a six foot distance. I was uncomfortable the very short time I was with him. Even my grocery store mandates these two pandemic requirements. I felt that he did not respect my health or person.

Dr. Leavitt corrected my dupuytren's contracture last April. Straighten my ring finger in short order. I liked his confidence and the speed of his operating procedure.

I had a complete shoulder replacement from Dr. Leavitt and assistant Peter Frey. I have been extremely pleased with the results both of the surgery and after care. I had a great deal of pain prior to the surgery. Dr. Leavitt showed me xrays of the shoulder and what my options were. I have never regretted the surgery. My recovery was very fast. My surgery was a little over 2 years ago.

Dr. Leavitt is a gifted surgeon who diagnosed and explained my torn rotator cuff/bicep tendon procedure exceptionally well. My surgery and recovery was exactly how they explained it would be, I know have full function and mobility pain free and I am back at full capacity at my job sooner than I expected. I would highly recommend Dr. Leavitt and his staff.

During the the time frame between 07/2015 to 01/2017 Dr. Leavitt provided me with the highest possible care any doctor has ever given me. I have already recommended him to several friends and family members. He has done for me what no other doctor has been able to or willing to do.
