Dr. Shannon Tilly, MD

I have seen Dr Tilly twice now. I appreciated her staff pushing my appt up by 3 months when I had an issue. Dr Tilly was professional. She answered questions, reassured me, and referred me to a specialist.She does stay on point when asking question and she try’s to find a solution. I like her. I plan on keeping her as my OB. I appreciate her insights and knowledge. She has made me feel comfortable and shows concern when she is in the room with me. She sent me a message at 6am when she got the results of my test. That is pretty impressive. Thank you Dr Tilly. You have impressed me as my new OB doc.

She was the on call doctor for LDS and my friend went in with terrible pain in her ovaries area. They took ct scans, ultrasound and bloodwork and sent her home. Took her back in couple of days with worse pain and they gave her another ultrasound and she reviewed them and sent her home again in horrible pain. Thank goodness the PA we saw sent her paperwork to her doctor in the same office and new there was something terribly wrong. She scheduled surgery for that night and her tube was twisted really bad and she had a huge mass in there. Thank goodness for Dr Rose she was a life saver. It seemed like Dr Tilly just didn’t want to be bothered she definitely didn’t care, go to someone else.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tilly’s for 5 years. My best friend who is a nurse recommended her. She has been by far the best health care provider I have ever had. She listens and doesn’t rush, answers questions and lays out all the options. As a woman who has chosen not to have children, I have felt judged, belittle and ignored by previous providers. Dr. Tilly is professional and supportive and has always made me feel comfortable and respected in my choice.

Dr. Tilley provided a great transition from my long therm provider who recently retired. Dr. Tilley gave a very thourough examination and additional follow up on findings of concern. The office was comfortable and the doctor conducted the visit in an efficient, yet not rushed way. I feel confident in the care I received and comfortable enough to speak up if I had questions. Dr. Tilley was very responsive to my concerns. I am grateful that she was accepted me as a patient nd expect to see her agin.

I cannot thank Dr. Tilly enough. I began seeing her at the very last leg of my pregnancy (at 37 weeks) and I am so grateful to her. My pregnancy suddenly had some risks at the very last minute and it was her knowledge and experience that helped me (and my baby) get through it. I know the reviews indicate that she can be rude, but that was really not my experience. Yes, she is not here to be your friend. She is here to be your doctor and make sure that both mommy and baby are well-taken care of. She answered all of my questions in detail and was very professional. Highly recommend.

Worst experience with this doctor

I've been seeing Dr. Tilly for 4 years now and she is incredible. I am childless by choice and she has been the only gynecologist in Utah that has treated me really well and never invalidated my other issues and concerns. Her office never fails to follow up or fit me in when I need them. Truly a godsend.

This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I put my clothes back on and left without her even examining me. She was rude, condescending, and didn't recognize my concerns. When I told her, "I'm not an advocate of birth control." , she snapped back, "Well, are you an advocate of pain?" This just scratches the surface. I'd write more, but there isn't enough room.

Dr. Tilly's style is very passive aggressive. She appears concerned but her temper is easily triggered. She does not like questions. She made some illogical conclusions without understanding the situation. If you are a person that has questions and would like to discuss all your options, be on notice, that if she does not like your question, she will attack you and demean you. The worse doctor I have ever had. Read deeper into her reviews. Other patients have complained of poor treatment.

Dr Tilly is an excellent physician. She manages to perfectly balance professionalism with a warm, personal, understanding demeanor. Occasionally I would have to wait a little to see her, but she always made me feel like she had time to hear my concerns and discuss my condition. In the delivery room she was extremely reassuring and boosted my confidence. I easily trust her with my life; she is most capable. I would never see another doctor, if it were up to me!
