When Dr. Shatsky was recommended to me, I came to this site to read the reviews. I also talked to someone I knew who was treated by him.The consensus of both is that he is very good, but doesn’t hold hands. I can handle not having a TV doctor as long as the doc had the skills…and Dr. Shatsky certainly has those.His criteria seems to be solely if he can demonstrably help the situation. In my case, the good and bad news was that I was obviously worthy of his needed attention.I understand the anguish of an in-pain patient-now reviewer here who was directed elsewhere to then be upset with the doctor determining another path, though of course I could never medically speak on those decisions.My surgery and recovery was not easy, which was duly expected and frankly explained, but in a couple of days I was walking again - gingerly, but pain free. With my own efforts included, the operation was a success!We shared some smiles in the follow-ups and I rate him high as a surgeon and person.
