AD follow-up; meningioma follow-up
Having hoped for therapies for mild cognitive impairment symptoms for stages 1-2 AD for my cognitive decline a LP was taken and CSF came back borderline AD. Dr. Yuan downplayed the LP findings. My wife & I wondering why, asked what stage she diagnoses AD? Dr. Yuan replied, “Not until stage 3.” I had 2nd opinion done at Washington Univ. Barnes Hospital Neurology in St. Louis, MO. My diagnosis was mild cognitive impairment & blood work showed both genetic markers from APO4E test. Family medical history AD Fraternal side - 1 uncle died from severe AD & 2 first cousins now in stage 3. Hope to begin at WUBarnes FDA approved donanemab-azbt. Found in my skull meningioma (left backside of skull) in 2022 MRI & symptoms worsening to 3-2025 trouble focusing, memory loss, blurry vision in right eye (uncorrectable with glasses) word loss, pronunciation of word loss, severe tinnitus, depression & anxiety. MRI in 2023 but focused on inner ear tumor for tinnitus; didn’t check back on tumor ‘22 MRI.
