Dr. Shawdae Thomas Smith, MD

I went to Ingalls Urgent Care in Tinley Park because I wasn't feeling well. I have sought care at this facility in the past, always encountering professional, pleasant personnel, On 3/18/2022, I had the misfortune of having Dr. Smith-Thomas provide my care. From the moment she walked into the room, she was cold, condescending and quite rude. She read from her computer, and didn't seem to care about my answers, before she went to the next question. Her demeanor was so dismissive,so impersonal I asked her how long she had been a physician. Having worked with physicians since 1984, all I thought when interacting with Dr. Smith-Thomas, is; did they stop teaching bedside manner/patient interaction classes? She must have offended others there, because I could hear her pleading for them not to leave, because it would be AMA. The rest of the staff; registration, triage, the nurse and x-ray technician were kind, empathetic and professional. Avoid her if you don't feel well.
