Dr. Shawn Everts, MD

have been seeing Dr. Everts for many years and I think he’s a decent doctor and fairly understanding. However, my view on him has changed, based on only one simple thing on my recent preventative health check up. For one thing, I’m a pretty healthy guy all my life except my cholesterol level has crept up due to the pandemic and not enough exercises, it has marginally gone up above the the limit at 140-some at my age closing to 60 years old. But my complaint here has NOTHING to do with any of my basic health issues, or any underlying problem of my health that I need to seek advice or I’ll die. Heck, he even knows my long time girlfriend is an MD and probably has more experience than him. It’s she who said I could just ask him for the prescription. Our less than 5 minutes of casual talk in the visit, out of half an hour, about getting some prescription of high altitude sickness pills for our ski trip to 12,000-ft A-Basin in Colorado. Dr. Everts is a truly kind and caring doctor and I never feel like he is rushing me out. He takes his time and although I don't see him often I feel like he knows me. He is gentle, respectful and compassionate. I feel fortunate to have found him as my family doctor.
