Review of Dr. Shawn
I am deeply disappointed with my experience with Dr. Shawn, who placed me on a 72-hour involuntary hold despite the absence of any signs that I posed a danger to myself or others. I was calm, cooperative, and displayed no suicidal or homicidal ideations. Dr. Shawn justified the hold solely on my refusal of treatment, which I believe is a clear violation of my rights, as my refusal alone did not meet the criteria for detainment. This decision caused me significant emotional distress and made me feel stigmatized and unheard.Dr. Shawn's actions appeared discriminatory, disregarding my autonomy and rights. I felt my perspective was dismissed, and the 72-hour hold placed me in a vulnerable position against my will. This experience has led me to question his judgment and his commitment to ethical medical standards. I urge others to consider my experience when seeking care and ask that Dr. Shawn reflect on how his actions impact patients' rights and well-being.

Poor table side manner. I didn’t feel like he was experienced. I’ll go with a MD instead of a DO next time.
