Doc is fine, office staff stinks
I had no issues with Doctor Wagle herself, but her office staff appeared unorganized and was very hard to get in contact with. They claimed to have lost two faxes requesting clinical notes that the insurance company needed to evaluate the medical necessity of a recommended MRI. This resulted in having to cancel the MRI appointment. I'm not surprised the majority of reviews are one-star.

Demoralizing. Humiliating. Atrocious behavior. I was referred to her for complex migraines by her colleague in the hospital. However, I am also dx with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). I explained that while I know I have nervous system dysfunction (FND), I was told she was the best for treating my complex migraines. Dr. Wagle didn’t listen to a word I said. She turned and looked me in the eyes, and told me that the only thing wrong with me was psychological. And that my psychological problem was that I thought something was wrong with my body (she motioned to my paralyzed limbs) when there’s not. It was like being punched in the face. I told her that while that was the old understanding of FND (conversion disorder) advancements in medical science have proven that this is a real brain disorder. She cut me off while speaking and yelled at me when I started sharing about the new, correct info for FND. Bizarre and combative behavior. She showed 0 interest in learning the correct info. She said she wouldn't take me as a patient and cancelled the appointment. Obviously she didn't address my complex migraines at all. FNDHope.org and Neurosymptoms.org are two websites that provide information on the condition. At this point there are also countless studies that have proven FND is real. Cleveland Clinic, Boston Mass, and Brigham Women's are a few hospitals in the US with FND specialists and FND treatment programs. They will treat you with resect, and are up to date on the research. Shame on doctors like Sheetal Wagle who tell people they're crazy and nothing is wrong. She should truly be ashamed. And just because I have FND, does not mean I don't need to be treated for my complex migraines, that literally landed me in the hospital a few weeks prior! Terrible doctor. She didn't even see me as a person. The staff was great.

A person with debilitating migraines who was mistr – Oct 06, 2023
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Wagle?
Wait time was very short & doctor was pleasant. Unfortunately, she didn't seem to pay much attention to my answers when she asked about my health. She asked the same questions again several minutes later. She said that my insurance would cover an Rx that she thought I should try instead of the one I had taken for 14 years. I told her I don't have drug coverage. She insisted I did: the Rx cost $800 for one month. 2nd visit: she prescribed another drug and insisted it would not interact with my current Rx. I went home & looked it up--the interaction is considered dangerous. When taking my medical history she didn't ask about family history of Alzheimer's. None on the 2nd visit either. My mother and 6 of her siblings & her father all died of it. I am now looking for a new neurologist who will actually pay attention and address family medical history issues.

Dr. Wagle has been very kind and attentive in treating my migraines. She has put a lot of effort into finding medications to control my symptoms. I now have four to six migraines per month instead of nearly every day of the month.

I went to Dr. Wagle with devastating headaches. She ordered an MRI and blood work to obtain a fuller picture of what might be going on. My daughter and I were very impressed with her questions and explanations. She answered all of our questions completely. I am being treated for cluster headaches and have a rescue medication for migraines; I am almost headache free. Dr. Wagle is extremely knowledgeable about dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She is currently participating in a national Alzheimer's study. I highly recommend her and her practice.

I went to see Dr. Wagley for possible MS. Firstly, she doesn't have any concept of pain. Nor does she speak English well. Not a great combination. She also tends to jump the gun on declaring MS when possibly symptoms are of other maladies. MS us hard to diagnose. She is nice enough, but her temperature /heart rate/ blood pressure meter is a nightmare. Fortunately, the staff has others. Be certain to ask. She has no understanding if a patient's pain. None. She is consiencious, takes looking through tests and x rays seriously, does attempt, I think, to bridge the major language barrier. She just rushes too fast to the MS diagnosis, without giving as much thought to other possibilities with symptoms. It's the pain thing that really is disconcerting. She doesn't "get" it, care, understand it? I don't know, but I have experienced more physical pain in her office, whether testing or exams. She doesn't care or get it.

Out of touch with patients needs. Condescending regarding my medications taken for other reasons. I guess it depends on what you are there for as far as your review goes. She did assure me that I didn’t have Parkinson’s but then wanted to change up meds that I have been taking for years. Having just met her, I felt that she really didn’t know enough about me to do that. After 2 visits, I stopped seeing her. Staff was polite and helpful, though.

Dr. Wagle treated me incredibly well. I walked in with a migraine that I had for four days and she took care of it on the spot and set up future treatment. The other reviews on here are absurd. They strike me as scripted. The Doc doesn't come close to ANY of those descriptions. She did what four other neuros couldn't. Migraines daily, now maybe monthly.

Dr. Wagle is absolutely awful, her people skills are non-existent. She does not understand nor have empathy for her patience. She also does a horrendous job properly acknowledging patience pain. She rushes her patience back into the workforce when it is painstakingly clear they are not ready. At all cost ovoid Dr. Wagle, there are far better doctors in the state. (would not recommend her to anyone)

She-my wife was left with no job after taking over a year to diagnose and with a condition that precluded her from entering her old job which has been given to someone who can do her job. The doctor's diagnosis cut off her disability payments which stopped the money we live on. Would I recommend this doctor I really don't think so

We had a bad experience with this doctor . She apparently misdiagnosed my mother who was suffering from Occipital neuralgia as cluster headache and gave her severe migraine medication . We had to seek a second opinion to get this corrected and get the right medication . She doesn't listen carefully and I believe has flawed medical diagnosis capability. She did not follow up even with a courtesy phone call to see how my mom is doing . Avoid her. There are many other good ones like Dr Gunawardane.
