Dr. Lazar performed a C6/C7 spinal fusion on me 11 years ago. I can't say enough about how great the post op has been. I have met 3 people since then (one a close friend) who have had the same surgery. Their incision looks like it was performed with a butter knife while mine is barely visible. I can't thank you enough Doc. You gave me back a normal life. All the best to you and yours!

Saw this Dr. because of 2 1/2 history of knee pain after knee replacement and workup of MRI, pain management with epidural steroid injections, and ablation of medial nerves L2-L5, and physical therapy X 3 which were all unsuccessful in relieving pain. Went in office with my MRI, gave my history, he did physical exam. went to look at my MRI. He returned to room and told me there was nothing he could do and told me to kick my legs in pool and do pilates. Gave me no information about what he saw (findings) on the MRI which led him to this conclusion, no recommended treatment Ie. continue on what type of meds, what symptoms to watch for and get help for, who to return to for follow up with, my prognosis,- no sense of help at all. Just a comment--"I can't change spines" If he can surgically assist with decompression for disc, spinal stenosis and vertebrae slipping as profile has in print--he definitely is not good with communication and bedside manners!!! Is it time for retirement?

Had brought my MRI, he took my history, did a physical exam reviewed my MRI. He returned to the exam room and stated there was nothing he could do. Gave no information about my MRI results that led him to this decision; no information of what symptoms would warrant surgical intervention just get in pool kick legs & do pilates!!!

Dr. Lazar performed a surgery for my spinal stenosis on 12/21/2015 in St. Francis Hosp. The surgery lasted 6 hours. During my one week recovery period in hospital he was checking on me every day - including weekends. Before surgery, I could not walk or stay longer than 7 minutes. After one month after surgery, I started walking around my neighborhood. 7 months after surgery I enjoyed a trip to Rocky Mountains hiking 8 to 10 hours a day. Planning to go skiing in this winter. Thank you, Dr.Lazar!
