Dr. Shepherd Pryor, MD

Went in for hearing loss in one ear. The doctor never examined me, said based on hearing test my right ear was not responding to sound. No exam never looked in my throat, ears, or nose. Wasted my time.

I met with Dr. Pryor to determine if the headache I had was due to sinus issues. He quickly ruled sinuses out and ordered a MRI to start the diagnosis process. Communication regarding the MRI was excellent. Follow up testing was indicated which was ordered immediately.

The good Dr Pryor is the epitome of professionalism. In my 82 years on this planet I have recommended some exceptional individuals. Dr Pryor is now one of them. His explanation is clear and precise. He sees you as a person, not just a patient. If I have future ENT needs I have found my doctor. His staffing warms to you and is at the same time professional. The office environment reflects Dr Pryor's intent of high quality service.In summation, you will do well to place your care in the hands of the good Dr Pryor.

It is difficult to know who to trust when it comes to any medical professional- but especially when it comes to the FACE. Dr. Pryor's education and reputation among other surgeons and patients alike, were the first indicators that I had made the right choice. Dr. Pryor's demeanor, expertise, professionalism and knowledge gave me confidence during our consultation. His surgical skills and follow up after my first wound repair made me realize I had made the right choice. The only thing remaining from that injury are my memories. Recently, I became a repeat patient for a complex mohs closure after the dermatologist strongly suggested that I have Dr. Pryor perform the closure surgery. The entire experience was positive- despite my concerns regarding facial deformity. I'm still on Recovery Road- (healing well) but having Dr. Pryor alongside, makes me know I'm not alone. I highly recommend Dr. Pryor

I had a horrible long standing sinus infection and after getting the run around with 6- ENTs in the Valley, and an unnecessary needed balloon procedure from an ENT who said I did NOT have an infection and the balloon procedure would fix my issues , I called Dr. Pryor office and he got me right in. Within minutes of exam he found my infection and scheduled surgery ASAP. My follow-ups are actually with the Dr. Who has to be one of the best ENT surgeons here in the Valley. I highly recommend Dr. Pryor. He restored my Faith in the medical field here in Arizona.

I am a repeat patient. I love the directness and thoroughness of Dr. Pryor. He is a good listener and takes action. He does not overdo it with medications that are not necessary.

I went to see Dr Pryor for. Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty. The initial visit was extremely informative and I knew that Dr Pryor heard my concerns and what I was looking for in results from the surgery. He provided details and gave me confidence that he was the perfect person to perform a surgery I was extremely nervous to have performed.The surgery team was amazing and Dr Pryor was very specific with recovering instructions.When my dressings were removed, I couldn’t stop the tears, because the results were better than I expected!!My breathing has improved, my snoring has decreased and my confidence in my appearance has become so positive.Dr Pryor did an amazing job and the results are life changing.

I had Septoplasty and nasal reconstruction surgery by Dr. Pryor. I highly recommend him 100% He is so amazing, answered all my questions and had me feeling comfortable about the procedure. Took great care of me and his team is just as awesome. I had a fracture nose as well as a twisted septum causing other issues. Dr.Pryor did a amazing job not only am I so happy I can breath again but made it look beautiful I now so much more confident with my looks. Thank you Dr. Pryor your truly amazing!!

I was quite worried about symptoms I was having. Dr. Pryor and staff scheduled me quickly. I received a personal and professional consultation and underwent a thorough examination. Dr. Pryor was compassionate. He validated my concerns and put my mind at rest. My experience was excellent from start to finish. If you are in need of an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist you would do well to visit Dr. Pryor.

Dr. Pryor diagnosed my nasal collapse problem quickly and we scheduled surgery. I was amazed that after the procedure I had no bruising, bleeding or swelling. Pain only on the 1st day. After 2 weeks, I was back to breathing well again! I’m so grateful to have had such an excellent surgeon correct my problems. I’m back to doing all of my activities, and breathing normally. I was so thankful to find Dr. Sheperd Pryor at Valley ENT, when searching for a physician to handle my nasal surgery. He and his staff were all very personable and kind. He took the time to explain the procedure, called a septoplasty, that would be required to correct my severely deviated nasal septum and improve my breathing. When I considered adding a “cosmetic” component to my surgery, he told me that he didn’t think I needed it – that my nose was actually pretty perfect as is! So many other doctors would have jumped on the chance to make more money, but he didn’t. The surgery center was impressive – staffed with wonderful people, clean, and well organized. I highly recommend Dr. Pryor to anyone considering either cosmetic or reconstructive nasal surgery.

Greatly satisfied with the professional manner of both Dr and his assistant, if you have any issues or questions his assistant is always happy to answer or find out and not make you feel like an imposition. Quality, timeliness, confidence, positive outlook and a quite a humanitarian is this Dr and practice.

I came here as a referral from another ENT because I needed two procedures at once and the former ENT could not do both . I clarified with the medical staff prior to the appointment the purpose and necessity that this surgeon could perform both procedure .I was assured that yes he was able to do both and that all scans and records were made available where in his possession prior to the appointment that I waited valuable weeks for as I am home for summer break . Dr Pryor was not only unprofessional his tone and demeanor made me uncomfortable. He was rushed and I felt like he just wanted me out of the office . In all the years that I have been in the medical field I have never witnessed such horrible bedside manner . Would definitely NOT recommend. I hate to leave a poor review for anyone but I would hope to help anyone looking for anything outside of basic care to look elsewhere.

Dr. Pryor is a highly skilled surgeon. He has the absolutely best personality. He will make you feel like you are his most important patient. I would highly recommend him.

Dr originally said that he could make a slight aesthetic improvement along with correcting my deviated septum. However, right before the surgery, he denied ever having mentioned it, and did this very aggressively and loudly in this quiet space filled with other patients.

I wish I could give these two 20 stars wow they are so kind and straight forward to the point honest no bs. The Dr. explained everything until I was able to understand. Even went to the point of drawing it out form me. And if a question came up and I had to call his office and got voice mail his m.a. would call me back by the end of the day with an answer or a solution , never left me hanging. I asked for a copy of my medical records as I was walking out the door and had them in hand 5 min later no fuss what so ever wow I can't really even put it into words how awesome Dr. Pryor and his M.A. are I have to wrap them together in this review because the two of them are an awesome team and if you need an E.N.T. This is the best most down to earth easy to talk to straight forward no bs Dr. ever top notch. Thank you so very much.

He takes time to dive in to both a patient's physical health as well as their mental health, he sees the whole person. He doesn't want you to just survive, he wants you to thrive. Dr. Pryor and his staff always make my wife and I feel like we are the most important patient This latest visit was to go over the PET scan test results from my cancer treatment. 100% cancer free now. Cancer is BAD, but having Dr. Pryor fight for and guide the treatment has been a blessing.
