I saw this doctor for atrial fib which I didn't know I had until I went to a walk-in clinic for a sore throat and the doctor there told me I needed to see a cardiologist . I wanted to see Dr Huerter and waited 3 months to get in with her. Big mistake! She was rude and when she was talking non stop like reciting, I started to ask a question concerning what she was saying and she immediately say "don't interrupt me" and went on reciting and when finished she didn't say - "now did you have a question" - no she did not, she could care less. And I didn't dare take her time to ask my question. I was very sad when I left there, I really thought she would be a great doctor for a female with a heart condition.

I've seen Dr. Huerter for some years, since going to the E.R. with a heart attack requiring stents. I have always liked her somewhat "to the point" style. Unlike some of the others who have left reviews, I would place more value on my doctor's qualifications and expertise than warm & fuzzy personality factors. I like her, I get answers to my questions, I've been seeing her for a long time, and I'm still doing well.

I went to Dr. Huerter for years and she would say to let her worry about my condition. She let my condition go too long before finally recommending action and thankfully went elsewhere for that procedure. I agree with others about her coolness and better than you attitude. Shame on me for trusting her with my heart and health.

She's been my mother's cardiologist for about eight years and always very pleased with her help. She's strong with hospital staff and I appreciated that in the ER.

Dr. Shirley Huerter advised my father for open heart surgery at age 83. Since his surgery we have had issues that I would of liked to talk to Dr. Huerter but she will not call patients back personally, she has her nurses do it for her. I fell that if you are a hands on Dr. you should be concerned if the patient is having issues and given the courtesy to call them back, not have the nurses do it for her. My father is now in AFIB and has lost 5 LBS in a week. I needed advice and none was given.
