Dr. Shirly Ramchandani, MD

Very caring and knowlegable doctor. She answered all my questions and reviewed with me step by step the best realistic and healthy way to accomplish my goal of loosing the extra weight that I have been carring for the last 30 years. And with her help I have done it. Thank you Dr. Sharandani withou your support and caring I would have not accomplished it.

She was very nice, but, when it was time to check if my insurance covered something, she wants me to do it. As a Dr, should she not be better able to look this up. Same goes for a test.

Excellent and caring physician, has taken care of myself and family members for number of years now and I have always had very pleasant interactions with her. She is thorough, intelligent, never judgmental, works with her patients to come up with treatment plan and explains things clearly. Has always been very good with following up and genuinely cares for her patients. I would highly recommend her and would trust her to take car of my own family and friends, and having my son see her also now.

She is very open minded and listens to any questions and explains her answers thoroughly. I have been at this Vanguard practice for over 23 years and Dr. Ramchandani is my favorite Primary Care Physician. I wish her the best in her future endeavors.

Dr. Ramchandani is an excellent physician, just had my visit last week and she was extremely patient and helpful. Went out of her way to help me and I've never met a doctor who is so compassionate. 100% will be going back.

I am an under-30s working professional with a high stress job. I've been treated for anxiety in the past before moving to Boston, and came to Dr. Ramchandani to get treatment for heightened anxiety and sleeping troubles. I was told I am "too young" to have anxiety and she refused to refill my anxiety medication. Her prescription? "Try meditating before bed." She was unwilling to listen and unable to help.

She is a nice person and easy to talk to. But her services as a doctor are not that great. First, she doesn't spend enough time with patients, even a physical was under 20 minutes and clearly it's not enough. Yet I noticed that the insurance gets billed for a full amount, the way the visits are classified. More importantly, when asked for advice, I never get a straight answer or full explanation. At best, she refers you to a specialist, but sometimes even the next step is not that clear.
