Absolutely disgusting bedside manner
If you’re looking for a place with compassion and understanding without judgment, this is not the place for you. I spent weeks searching for a doctor to take me seriously based on my diagnosis and case history. This doctor not only judged me, but then labeled me, with a diagnosis that she is not even certified to label. I’ve been a nurse, and in healthcare more than 25 years in pride myself on the awards I have received for my compassion. I have dealt with all kinds of illnesses and not once have I belittled one of my patients the way that this woman felt she needed to do so with me. Dr., and I say that lightly, you’re obviously in the wrong profession. You lack empathy and are quick to judge, and I regret stepping foot in your office, and I promise you will regret the day that we met, because I will not take this lightly, and I will not back down.

Poor bedside manner
This doctor did not inquire about my current symptoms. She kept looking at my records from 8 years ago. This was supposed to be a follow up to an ER visit. Very insensitive.

Overall, a comfortable experience
Dr. Mahinrad is a very caring doctor and person. I enjoyed my visits with her. I believe she had my best interests at heart, even given the restrictions imposed on personnel when working for a large medical conglomerate. I will say it took me several years to fully begin to trust her. That's not her fault, though. I'm just very distrusting of the medical community, in general. The only thing that would irritate me about her was that she often seemed to not listen to what I had to say and would try to finish my sentences for me. Other than that, I think Dr. Mahinrad is a very knowledgeable and sympathetic person. Unfortunately, she has left the practice, and now I must find another doctor within that practice or somewhere else. If she were within a reasonable distance, I would continue to see Dr. Mahinrad.

Dr Mahinrad is an exceptionally accommodating, extremely competent and professional physician! She consistently reviews all body systems, medications, medical problems and is proactive in her medical approach. Although I have moved, I continue to remain a patient of Dr Mahinrad. I have found none other who takes such great care of me!

Dr. Mahinrad reviews lab findigs with me. She reviews medications to make sure I understand how medicines interact and may affect my overall health. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

I’ve been with Dr. Mahinrad now for close to a year, and at first I was happy with her. Things have changed. Like a previous commenter, she acts as though I’m making up my medical conditions, even though I was awarded disability benefits last year. She’s made me refill a prescription every 2 weeks, even though I e been on this med (non-opiate) for over 10 yrs, with no problem. Her response was she has to first do no harm, that I could be getting a fatty liver, even though tests have proven no such problem exists, or ever existed. As well, her office has made a mangle of their billing, and I have yet to find someone to hear my grievances. I don’t have the energy, time, or fortitude to argue with her, while lining her pockets. I, too, will fire her soon as I find someone else. Big fat disappointment, all the way around.

I started using her as my PCP last year and I am less than impressed. She often seems rushed and, when I have a question about my test results, she blows me off and then jumps to the next thing, never giving me time to finish my sentence. She's also called me a hypochondriac because I take an active part in my health - some doctors like this while others don't. I decided to fire her as part of my medical team today and will be looking for a new primary. I don't need someone thinking I'm making stuff up or I'm too anxious when I have legitimate concerns.

Extremely thorough. I am more used to doctors that are very pro-active in quality healthcare. Dr. Mahinrad places the patient first. That's a rare find today. I'm glad I quit being seen by the gold standard Mayo Clinic.
