Dr. Shreekanth Karwande, MD

Dr Karwande did five vessel bypass on me February, 2004. I am still a practicing psychiatrist at age 83 in Saint George thanks to his expertise.

I have been a patient of Dr. Karwande for over 4 years. I have always received the best service from his staff. Dr. Karwande has always provided very easy to understand information and he has always been willing to answer questions and to keep me informed of my condition and progress. His skills as a surgeon are highly regarded by my Oncologist and local surgeon.

Dr. K is a wonderful physician. On first meeting, he created (I think entirely unconscious of it) and atmosphere of peace and optimism that exceeds any other experience with another physician. Hew was the same on the day of my open heart surgery in 2015, and on the day of each annual checkup since then. I am deeply indebted to him for the skill of his work, and for the inspiration that flows from his very being.

Dr. Karwande was friendly, considerate, and took a genuine interest in my well-being. He responded quickly to any problems that arose, and he and his staff were always available when called upon. Because of his knowledge and skill I expect to have a very good result from my surgery.

Knowing that you need to have your rib cage opened up and your heart cut into is not a comforting thought. We read up on two other heart surgeons before meeting with Dr. Karwande, the only one who came highly recommended by my cardiologist. Dr. Karwande made us feel like we have known him for ages. He is personable and kind, and we came away feeling very relaxed and confident about the up-coming quadruple bypass. Our main feeling about Dr. Karwande is that he is so, well, nice! Choose him!

Dr. Karwande is not only a wonderful person but a highly talented surgeon. When I was diagnosed with lung cancer, he saw me within just a few days and scheduled my surgery less than a week after that. He and his staff are absolutely fabulous, always showing the greatest care and concern for my well being. I highly recommend him if you are in need of the best surgeon that can be found.

Dr. Karwande is a pro. He is not only extremely experienced and skilled in what he does, but he clearly conveys, up front, what is going to happen and, afterwards, what happened. He, and his staff have been very responsive to my needs and questions including an outpatient, post-op concern where the entire crew was there when I came into the office. Remarkably, after a triple bypass, I've had almost no wound pain.

Dr. Karwande and his supporting staff are amazing. My recent heart valve repair surgery was performed perfectly and the care that I have received post surgery has been second to none!

Dr. Karwande walks on water if you ask anyone in my family. Dr. Karwande operated on my father for his 4th open heart surgery to repair failed mitral valves. He had had a stroke one month earlier, and a failing/leaking valve. Dad had alot of scar tissue, and nuerological impairments from the stroke. Dr. Karwande skillfully operated in challenging circumstances and brought dad through an amazing surgery w/ no further complications. It was a miracle. Implicitly trustworthy and highly-skilled.
