Dr. Sigita Alimenti, MD

Dr. Alimenti listens carefully and takes time to respond. It is clear that she knows what she is talking about and that she cares. Never feel rushed.

Such an unpleasant experience that I honestly never want to visit a doctor again as it seemed like a complete waste of time. She didn't help me with any of my self-reported health concerns and instead ran me down a checklist she clearly applies to everyone. I was given a pap smear and shots, then sent on my way with a see you next year. The only topic she brought up from my new patient questionnaire was the fact that I answered yes to consuming marijuana in a state where it's legal, despite the fact I had marked down mental health issues I received no help on. She specifically commented on my relatively low age and how I shouldn't have health concerns yet, which gave me the impression that's why she didn't take me seriously. If you're young and seeking preventative care, I simply would not recommend this doctor.

I left a review a couple years ago about Dr. Alimenti and how awesome she is and I still feel that way. However, after all the years of going to see her I missed one appointment the other day and got sort of nasty letter saying that if I missed two more appointments that they were going to terminate me being a patient there and they charged me $25 for missing that visit. I could understand if I was chronically missing appointments but in more than 10 years, this is the first time I missed one. I’m a little disappointed in the staff however, I still think she’s a great person. I was going to drop off a jar of my honey for Christmas for her but now I’m reluctant . I don’t know how I will be treated by the staff

I have never had a doctor who was more caring with my physical and emotional well being. I don’t feel like a number or that I am being rushed out of the room. I feel listened to and respected. I couldn’t ask for better care, so glad Dr. Alimenti was recommended to me.

A friend recommended her, but I was reticent to change from my PCP at Northwestern in Chicago. I'm so glad I finally did. Dr. Alimenti has been on my side every step of the way and has helped me navigate through my complicated health issues. She has turned what seemed overwhelming into simple, and helped motivate me without casting judgement. She displays empathy while pushing me to do better. With each visit, she adds a bit more to my plan, but never more than I can handle. I'm in better condition than I have been in a long time, and I give credit to Dr. Alimenti. I only started seeing her post-Covid, and have had no sense that she is scared by it. Quite the opposite. After I scheduled a couple tele-doc visits she told me, no more, next time you come into the office. And with each visit she performs a hands-on evaluation. Still the most important for me is the dialog and rapport she has built with me in such a short period of time. Do yourself a favor and make the appointment.

For the first few years, I liked Dr. Alimenti but over the last 4 years you never know which Dr. A you are going to get. Sometimes, she's okay; other times, she's conscending, rude and very short with you. My last two physicals, she has stood about 6 feet away from me and never once touched me or looked in my ears/eyes or never listened to my heart. It was extremely odd. It's like she's super "afraid" of covid (and I've been vaxed 3 times). She now insists on full bloodwork and 2 physicals per year (and one can be telehelath). I have no health issues and take 2 RX. Also, since covid, you cannot see her for a sick visit. You must use telehealth which I understood 100% during covid, but she still won't see you. Also, the staff makes a lot of mistakes. Every single year, my RX scripts are messed up and I have to call them and tell them they gave me t he wrong meds (or double what the Dr. prescribed during the physical). Dangerous mistakes. Dr. Alimenti is very personable and caring. I've had her as my Dr. for many years and she's always been there for me.

Dr. Alimenti has been my primary care physician for over a decade. She was referred to me by a family member and it was one of the best referrals I've ever received. She's friendly, honest, caring, compassionate, and has always been genuinely concerned about my entire well-being. She's been wonderful to me every time I've seen her and has always taken great care of me. I love Dr. Alimenti as my doctor and will have her as my primary care physician until she retires.

i have been going to Dr. Alimenti for over 10 years now. She is a very kind, caring, knowledgeable doctor. She works very hard at keeping you in excellent health physically snd mentally. She listens to your concerns and makes sure they are taken care of. If it is out of her realm of practice she will make the needed referral. I would highly recommend her.

She doesn't pay attention to the patient records. If you really want to have a doctor that listens to you, better find a different one. Speaks like that you are an expert with medical procedures and doesn't spend time to collect the details or the concerns of the patient. Just speak for a few minutes (less than 5 minutes) and leave the room. Don't waste your time and money. Front staff is also not that helpful.

Dr. Alimenti is condescending and treats me like a child. She tries to shame me. She thinks her opinion is the only one and won’t tolerate you having your own opinion. I would not recommend her. I leave there feeling worse than when I came in.

I have been seeing Dr. Alimenti for 10 years and she always takes the time to listen to me and understand how I am doing. She really cares about her patients and wants to get to the root cause of any issues you may be having health wise. I have recommended her to several people and she was recommended to me 10 years ago. It is very nice to have someone that will take the time to meet with you and not rush you through a visit. She is wonderful!

I was referred to Dr. Alimenti by a fellow physician and have not been disappointed. She is competent, has an up-to-date knowledge base, is careful and deliberative in her diagnosis and treatment while caring and appreciative of one's physical and emotional circumstances. I recommend her highly.

Very compassionate and caring. Listens to concerns without rushing you. Not quick to prescribe medications if other avenues could be helpful and tried first.

My experiences with Dr. Alementi have always been exceedingly professional and filled with care and consideration. The staff are friendly, waiting room clean and wait times are relatively short (usually 15 minutes maximum).Being a healthcare professionals myself, I have always trusted Dr. Alementi’s judgement and opinion. She has gone out of her way to make sure that me and my family have had proper health care even when we moved out of state. We have since moved home and have returned to seeing her. You can’t go wrong choosing her for your PCP.

I would definitely not refer Dr. Alimenti. Initially I believed we had a solid doctor/patient relationship, but an unacceptable pattern emerged over time. She would consistently speak over me and always rushed the visit, and I'd usually leave feeling very few of my thoughts, concerns, or symptoms we actually listened to. I got the sense that she 'was always right,' not able to admit an incorrect observation - probably somewhat common in the medical profession - but in the sense that her first idea was always the best and any alternative was an insult, one time even rolling her eyes when I asked if I could try a different type of medication. My visits - virtual or in person - became a waste of time. Her practice feels more like a race to see as many patients as possible without taking the time to truly figure out what may be ailing someone, often needlessly waiting much longer than necessary to direct you to specialists who can actually connect the dots and help.

I was told that my problems were not a big deal and she would not prescribe my medications because she did not believe they worked. Never listened to what I wanted. treated me like a child.
