I would not recommend that individuals seek to establish care with Dr. Prager. My initial visit ended in an abrupt and almost combative manner. Dr. Prager refused to provide a cholesterol test, something that my prior primary had done multiple times. He appears to take a very strict interpretation of recommended guidelines, even against items that others might use to proactively monitor and improve their health. I can see situations when such a strict approach benefit patients. That being said, I agree with the other 1 star reviews posted here and is representative of my visit.

This is not a caring or friendly doctor
Not friendly at all, seems like he cares less, bad replacement for the senior I take care of, he needs to be replaced with a more empathetic and caring doctor asap! Saint Mary’s do better , your doctor should treat patients like they would family! This is healthcare not a business.

Thanks, but no thanks.
I can see that Dr. Prager is very thorough and competent, but his bed side manner was simply cold. In my four visits to Dr. Prager I never saw him smile one time. I wish I had read his reviews before

Bedside manner
Bedside manner is important to people who are I’ll. care needed With chronic a illness labeled colon cancer seems to have made the manner change due to the needs. Seems that when resections x3 happened the cancer is gone. No symptoms are real and they are an excuse for meds to be recreational. I just don’t understand the school of thought since the fight is still going on due to recurring three x and it’s a constant fight of side effects as well. It’s an ongoing fight and bedside manner is most important in a case like this. But, obviously you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Care is a gamble when chronic illness is involved but just great as long as you don’t vocalize your symptoms. I made the mistake of saying my kidney hurt on a follow up visit from a situation that caused hospitalization where kidney failure happened. I feel we’d have been okay if I didn’t ask about it. Also I expected blood tests or a referral to someone about the kidney health. I no longer feel safe w/care.

Avoid at all cost, this doctor has very big ego and always knows best. Not concerned about your health, more into assembly line doctor office. Buyer beware at all cost. won't prescribe anxiety medicine and makes you feel stupid. Very very disappointing, needless to say I found an amazing doctor after I left there practice at SSM by esquire. Felt the need to express my opinion to save yourself from falling for this doctors subpar care. Sorry doc:( Wish I had something better to say. Learn

Dr. Prager during my visit, insulted me at least three times, not concerned with my questions I asked and very quick to answer with a rude shut down remark. Unbelievably rude and changing Dr's immediately.
