The Best
Excellent at every step of the way. He is knowledgeable, competent, patient, caring. I was anxious and he put me at ease. I have many comorbities and he worked well with all my other physicians. I had a cervical dissectomy with cadaver grafts, built a cage inserted and inserted a plate and screws. After years of pain and limited function, I have no pain and function is gradually improving. There is nothing that I could say that wasn’t perfect with the care I received from Dr. Salerno and his entire team! I would recommend him to anyone in need.

Amazing! Could not be happier with his care
21 years ago I had 3 levels of spinal fusion. A couple of years ago I started having pain in my right SI joint. I sought treatment with pain management and received injections that were initially effective. It was suggested that I speak with Dr. Salerno about the possibility of fusing the SI joint. To say it was the best thing I could have done is an understatement. Dr. Salerno skillfully did my fusion and although I am only two weeks out, I would say I have 90% improvement. I am looking forward to my healing and further improvement. Thank you Dr. Salerno

Wife had seizure at work and was brought to JSUMC for treatment. ED staff suspected she was a drug user and purposely ignored the call bell numerous times Heard nurse talking “can’t wait to see her urine drug screen.” Of course my wife is drug free. Was referred to Dr Salerno, for a tumor in her skull, not drugs, by attending Ed physician which was a huge mistake. Wife was admitted to 5NW where the nurses are more concerned about their personal lives than actual taking care of patients. Complained afterwards to nurse manager on floor and received no help but lame excuses. Got 5 min conversation with Dr Salerno. So you have a brain tumor and we are going to take it out. Any questions? Yeah. Not kidding. I have a thousand questions. Disgusted with care from floor and the surgery was not considered emergent, checked out and sought a better md and facility at Hackensack UMC.

I have seen Dr. Salerno for 3 different operations. (2) Spinal Cord stimulator surgeries (1) in May 2018 and (1) in June 2017.My latest procedure was just on March 26,2019. Dr. Salerno is a great Dr. and I have had nothing but great experiences with him and his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Salerno for any surgery involving a Neurosurgeon. Thank you again Dr. Salerno for great bedside manner and taking the time to talk with me and my wife about everything happening in my surgeries. Casey F.

I wish that I could write about my experience with Dr Salerno, but I never got to see him! His office canceled my first visit. I showed up a month later for the second visit only to find that Dr Salerno was not there again! They asked me if I wanted to make another appointment, but why bother? Appointments clearly mean nothing here. I'm really sorry that I can't her to see Dr Salerno as he comes highly recommended. I'll have to go somewhere else.
