Dr. Kapila is one of the worst psychiatrist I ever been to, she put me down so bad about my weight every time I would see her. She said if I keep eating “I’m gonna explode” Every time I left her office I went home and cut myself. My mom is my biggest support so I like for her to come to the doctors with me because of that Dr. kapila told me to find a new doctor. And her and her assistant manager at the time is so cold and nothing but liars!!!! I pray I NEVER go back to her.

Prescribed an unnecessary drug which turned out to be Prozac and then refused to help me withdraw. It has taken me years to taper off and I still suffer from withdrawal symptoms 18 months after a long slow taper. She has made my life very miserable.

While the other reviews mentioning money are true, I have been a patient of Dr. Kapila’s for many years and she may not be “warm and fuzzy,” but she will work with you to get your meds right

Dr. Kapila and her office assistant Natasha are the most unhelpful difficult people I have ever come across in the field of psychiatry. It is amazing to me that Dr. Kapila is able to attract any patients. She seems to only care about getting paid- certainly not about taking care of her patients.

Very sad the way medicine is a business that very few people are able to maneuver. The biller at this office is not able to follow my insurance company"s directions required to be paid. Therefore; instead of the doctor hiring a better biller, she has decided not to see me anymore. Even though I offered to pay out of pocket. Very unreasonable. Has not given me enough time to find a new doctor before prescription run out. Unfair. Think twice before choosing this office.

Dr Kapila was a savior to my schizophrenic son. After years of no progress and increasing bouts of psychosis, paranoia, and voices she worked tirelessly to find the right combination of drugs to treat him. She was willing to go to the extra work involved in offering Clozapine. This was miraculous in giving the quality of his life back. As an R.N., I watched her carefully and found her to be more than competent and she gets my highest recommendation. Susie Tucker

I had a horrible experience with this woman. I cannot even call her a doctor. She was rude, unprofessional, and is all about money. While i was in her office, during my visit she made 2 personal phone calls. I was is the middle of speaking while she put her hand up to talk on the phone. Before I was buzzed into her inner office she came up front to ask her receptionist if I had paid. As we walked to her office she walked about ten feet in front of me. I left her office feeling worse than ever.

Doc Kapila is very knowledgeable that's for sure. However, she doesn't seem to care much about her patients because she is like the typical doctor that asks you a couple questions, barely looks at you and dismiss you in 15 minutes. If you only want medicines go with her, if you are looking for a more friendly/caring psychiatrist, go with someone else.

I have seen 5 psychiaatrists over a 7 year period and have tried somewhere around 20 different perscriptions .. Nothing worked ... Dr Kapila saw me for the first time looked at all the Meds. I have tried spent some time talking with me and got me the medication that works on the first try .. She is a genius and soooo very nice .. I really got lucky when a friend recomended her ... This lady actually put years back on my life .. It's so nice not to be depressed any longer a real miracle

Dr. Kapila literally saved my life. I went to see her after going through the a life threatening experience with my husband. I was a mess, shaking and stunned! Dr. Kapila reassured me that I was experiencing situational anxiety and prescribed meds to help me get through this frightening time. She gave me my life back. Her kind words and expertise helped me cope with this life changing experience. Thanks to Dr. Kapila I have my life back!

She is not responsive to patient needs. Refuses to speak to her patients on the telephone spends virtually no time on therapeutic therapy instead prescribing drugs.
