Poor bedside manner and misdiagnosis
Patients, be cautious. This doctor has a poor bedside manner and recommended a full hysterectomy, which I later found out was completely unnecessary after consulting a urogynecologist. It seems like when you see a surgeon, the first solution is surgery. Please, always get a second or even third opinion before making any decisions about your health.

I could not recommend her less
I went to Dr Lee on a referral from my PCP after tests determined I had a rather large ovarian cyst on one ovary and a small dermoid cyst on the other. Dr Lee recommended removal of both cysts, expressing concern that she would likely have to remove one of my ovaries. As an otherwise healthy 28 year old this news was shocking. She referred me to fertility doctors, genetic testing, the whole lot. Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion and have since had the cyst removed, with no compromise to my ovary or fertility. Dr. Lee left expecting the worst and brought such an overwhelming sense of fear to me. I would not recommend this Dr to anyone, please seek care elsewhere if you want a positive and realistic outlook for care.

ONE OF THE BEST!!!
Dr. Lee is one of the best doctors in her field! Experience is very important to me as well as empathy. Dr. Lee lets you know your options in detail. She will let you know her opinion/concerns without being pushy. Dr. Lee did my hysterectomy and I had no issues. My recovery was shorter than what was expected. I have had issues since I was a teenager. I am so grateful for Dr. Lee. I've never felt better!!

Glaringly inept and biased
Sharing this in hopes of saving someone in a similar circumstance the trouble. I had an awful experience with this physician that could have altered the course of my health significantly. I’ll start with the wider issues and conclude with a core issue in doctoring. In general, her office seemed poorly run. I worked in clinical medical settings for over a decade as an administrator. Her staff had not prepped her room, she had the wrong charts for patients at their door. Her med student visibly seemed confused and she publicly chastised her front desk and clinical staff for their inefficiency. Once in the room she told me i probably had a diagnosis that multiple docs told me i do not have. She told me the surgical procedure i was seeking was pointless given my age and weight but she’d talk to my referring doc. She never followed up. I asked my doc to follow up on the visit and she reported back that Lee declined. Successfully had the surgery with another doc this week.

Saved my ovary
I found Dr. Lee when looking for a gyno office that specializes in endometriosis. I'd had painful abdominal issues for years before another doctor at the office finally listened to my concerns. Fast forward to when Dr. Lee is operating on me and instead of endometriosis they find a benign tumor on my ovary, the size of a baseball (keep in mind ovaries are the size of a grape). She managed to save my ovary, and 6 months later I'm back to my usual sports and fully recovered. I cannot thank Dr. Lee enough for how well she treated me when I was in her care. She listened the whole time and took on the issue with a plan. My friends have had great experiences with her as well. I highly recommend the whole office.

I have been seeing Dr. Lee for many years. She is an excellent doctor. She listens and asks questions. She takes her time with you at office visits. She give practical as well as medical advice. She is not just a fine doctor, she is a kind and caring person with whom conversations are a pleasure. I trust her judgement and recommend her highly. The office on South Street is small, clean and the staff is friendly. I have not experienced any long wait time. My only problem has been parking as it is difficult to find on street parking spots. I live outside of the city and must drive. But that is a small inconvenience to pay for seeing such a fine doctor.

Although I’ve utilized her practice for years, I had never met Dr. Lee. My appointment was almost two hours past the scheduled time and I had watched clients walk out repeatedly after being truthfully informed that this was out of their control (I.E doctor’s fault- not admin) . My appointment was less than 15 minutes and the doctor seemed completely bored and annoyed while I quickly recapped the last 15 years of medical OBGYN history (knowing she had a room of other women who have also been waiting for her). Keep in mind this is to discuss surgery or potential future furtility . When you feel a bit vulnerable and are dismissed so abruptly, it’s really disheartening. I’m glad I came across reviews online to sway me elsewhere. FYI- she actually upvoted herself in Google reviews . The other women for the OBGYN practice are amazing though. From admin nurse support to the nurse practitioners, they’re honestly so kind and genuine.

My sister was scheduled for a procedure with this physician for 7:30 in the morning and was instructed that she needed to be fasting. She arrived at 7:30 to learn that the necessary equipment had never been ordered and that it would not arrive until 1pm. When my sister inquired how this error occurred, Dr. Lee reported it was the nurse's responsibility to order said equipment. When nursing was confronted, it was revealed that the physician had never assigned the necessary diagnosis code. My sister continued to wait until almost 2:30pm when she finally encountered a staff member. It was reported to her that the equipment had still not arrived and that the physician had gone into another procedure and would not be out until 4:30pm. Only when she was ready to leave, was she able to be treated however she was given general anesthesia as opposed to local in order to complete it faster. She was willing to perform a procedure with more risk in order to cover her own negligence.

She lacked bedside manners, did not read anything I brought to her office, told me "I couldn't possibly have been exposed to DES in utero becsuse I was too young", when in fact I brought facts to prove otherwise but she refused to read anything. I was rushed into just putting a gown on for a pap smear when that wasn't what I went to her office for. She lacked empathy and didn't say I am sorry or anything when I told her my full term infant daughter was born silent. Bad experience.

I would not recommend Dr. Lee for the treatment of endometriosis. I would highly recommend a 2nd opinion if she recommends surgery or Lupron. I had surgery and received Lupron through her office, as this was "my only option". I wish I had gone for a 2nd opinion - she did not excise, only ablated, the endometriosis she found at surgery. I am now on my 3rd surgery (different dr)- all which could have been avoided. Look into endometriosis resources on the web, research this disease.

Dr. Lee took me in quickly for an emergency. During my appointment she took her time and answered all of my questions. I had my first surgery with Dr. Lee and I felt comfortable through the whole process. Right before my surgery she came and spoke to me to answer any other questions or concerns I had. All of the staff spoke to me like I was a person and not a patient. My overall experience was very positive.
