Dr. Sowmya Brahmadevi, MD

What stood out most is this Dr's complete lack of compassion for woman's health issues. 50% of her patient base is female yet she lacks knowledge of how to treat routine aging issues like, pre, peri and post menopause. 100% of her patients will have symptoms and need treatment during this phase of life but expect to be referred out to someone who cares and prepare to PAY EXTRA for being a female with this Dr . For routine issues she will refuse to refill prescriptions even if you have been to a specialist and have diagnosed issues that will not change over time. She will insist you continue to pay extra with another Dr. for standard of care scripts needed in older age. She is by the 'book' if you are a robot patient she is a robot Doctor filling out forms in the computer and following the checklist. Expect no 'extra' effort on this Physicians part. But she will smile pleasantly while denying you care.

I would give her 10 stars if I could, I have my entire family under her care. I will never see another doctor other than doctor B. Her knowledge is impeccable. Her bedside manner is awesome. I could not ask for a better PCP to care for me and my family.

I was a new patient and I'm so glad to have seen Dr. Brahmadevi. She explained everything and was do kind. I'm so glad to have her as my new primary care provider!

BE CAREFUL with what you say when you visit this doctor or schedule your appointment with the staff because they will code the appointment incorrectly and charge you for the annual physical that most people with insurance get for free. I went in for my annual physical and they mistakenly coded the appointment as a "problem visit" which meant I had to pay $165 for an appointment that was intended to be a physical. I called several times to try to clarify the incorrect coding and their answer was that it was my fault. According to them, I had answered a question about my health history that stated I had high cholesterol but that was just my history and not the actual reason of my visit. I NEVER said I was going for a problem visit and I was NEVER asked if this was a problem visit because I would have clarified the situation. Apparently, if you go to this doctor's office, you have to DISCLAIM you are not going for a problem visit and even get it in writing so they can't claim otherwise
