Very Frustrated
Be prepared to pay out of pocket. Just because the office takes your insurance does not mean that Dr. Schuenman also takes your insurance. I saw him for three months last year for my knee and the day I come in for my surgery consultation. He informed me that he does not take my insurance. Months later I have new insurance I checked him out on my insurance website and he was there. So I asked my doctor to refer me to him. And then Dr Schuenman office contacted me to make an appointment. A week later I go in for my appointment and they informed me that he does not take my type of insurance. He may be an excellent doctor, but he and his office are incompetent at doing the simplest things. I will never refer him or his office to anybody.

I had knee surgery in August 2013. I do not live in Arizona anymore. I am writing this review to say my knee is swollen most of the time and my range of motion never improved with physical therapy. My knee locks often, and I have pain more than I would like. I know I have lots of scar tissue. I have been told here in Dallas by an Orthopedic surgeon MD that the surgery should be redone. I would not recommend Dr. Schuenman for knee surgery.

After being told that the office would aquire recent x-rays before office visit they failed to do so. Clearly their faultx every attempt was made to shift the blame to me. The PA was rud3 and referrer to me as "man" several times, not sir as would be appropriate. They wanter to reschedule cause of their error. Needless to say I WOULDN'T TRUST THEM and won't be returning.

Dr. Shuenman listened to my explanation of my problem and discussed options and backed each corrective action with confidence. A previous Dr. gave me a total of 15 minutes of his time and I moved on to Dr. Shuenman for initial consolation, providing me with 1 hour and 30 minutes of his valuable time to insure me how to make the proper decision in correcting my issue.

I chose orthopedic surgery because it allows me to help others and fix problems and issues that can greatly improve the quality of life for my patients. I particularly enjoy the hands-on aspect of orthopaedics.
