Unfriendly, uninterested, overbilled still in pain
I came to Dr. Rust after suffering from carpal tunnel in both wrists for years. I found her to be unfriendly, uninterested, and did not care to explain things well. She didn't do the nerve tests I understand are standard for assessing carpal tunnel. She injected both wrists with cortisone which seemed to help some. When she asked if the cortisone shots helped with the carpal tunnel, I told her they had, even though I still felt some tingling in my hands and they still fell asleep. It became apparent after the surgery that I had another issue, ulnar nerve entrapment she had not discovered. I have continued to suffer with my hands falling asleep when my elbows are bent. And as I was on the gurney, IV in arm, about to go into surgery, I met the 2 anesthesiologists. I assumed only one would be my doctor. It was a few weeks later when I got a $800 bill from STAR Anesthesia for the second doctor who should NEVER HAVE BEEN THERE. Find another doctor, she does the bare minimum and doesn't care

Still in pain – Dec 21, 2023

Money over patient pain.
Doctor Rust didn’t listen to my concern or fill out accommodations paperwork I ask her to do in exam room. She actually shrug her shoulder and try to get away with lot of questions I have for her. Let me tell you steroid didn’t work for my carpal tunnel so next step is should had been discussed for surgery but no she refused and refer to me someone because she didn’t want to deal with me deaf patient. I’ve walked out of exam room because she refused to listen to the pain I’ve been in for so long and didn’t even care how patient feel at all. She just would brush it off with steroid and come back in 2 months. This is all money talk she care not the patient. I didn’t want the steroid either but I already knew it wouldn’t work as my body has build immunity to that. I’m very disappointed with Dr. Rust. She didn’t take any time to listen and either has she cooperated. She is not worth of my time and my dime.

Never
Dr Rust was extremely condescending and impatient. She wouldn’t let us answer the questions she asked. I’ve never meet a Dr that didn’t inspect the patient before referring them to another Dr. She said “ please bend your legs so I can get closer to you”. The patient is a VET with rods in their legs from War Time injuries. Very unprofessional and inappropriate.

Dr. Rust was fully informative. She described my condition in detail, along with the treatment options and expected outcomes. Together we agreed that an in-office procedure was necessary, which she performed quickly and effectively. Very satisfied.

I first visited Dr Rust in June 2019 - to treat severe thumb joint and palm pain. Tonight I’m recovering from successful thumb joint replacement and thumb release. Dr Rust diagnosed my issue quickly, set up surgery to repair and provided temporary injection relief. Her new location worked well even with the end of year rush. I’m grateful and blessed after many years of pain!

I randomly picked Dr. Rust Dr. Rust from my insurance website. I called and office staff immediately showed empathy and was very courteous. Dr. Rust treated me for a shattered elbow. The surgery was a success. I like that she was informative and attentive. She had x-rays taken during my office appointments and always updated me on my progress. I always felt pleased after talking to Dr. Rust, because I was treated with respect and kindness. Dr. Rust always kept me informed me about my progress.

Dr. Rust performed surgeries on both of my hands, just 45 days apart. The outcome has far exceeded my expectations! She is an outstanding surgeon who truly cares about the well being of her patients. She takes whatever time necessary to alleviate concerns, is fastidious about infection prevention. Her nurse is just as competent and caring. I would recommend Dr. Rust without reservation.

I came to Dr. Rust after a bad experience with the initial doctor who was working to treat my shoulder injury. She was upfront about her experience with the type surgery I needed and referred me to a doctor who specializes in the procedures needed. She was very patient and took time to evaluate my records. The office staff and medical techs and assistants all were very kind and thorough as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rust to family, friends, and strangers!
