Lacks Empathy & understanding
Dr. Stacey Occomy is condescending, dismissive, and lacks basic communication skills. She downplayed my condition because it wasn’t diagnosed in childhood (ignoring the reality that many go undiagnosed due to lack of access or awareness), ignored multiple medication refill requests, and withheld my prescription over a single positive marijuana test. She seems more focused on asserting control than actually helping patients. If you’re looking for a psychiatrist who listens and supports you, I wouldn’t recommend her. If you’re an adult with ADHD, you’re better off finding someone that specializes in adults with ADHD.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Occomy?
My grueling 2-year experience with Dr. Occomy, to put it lightly, devastating towards my mental health. I felt she was incredibly cold and lacking human empathy. Many times i tried to convince myself "it is me, not her" when in hindsight, Dr. Occomy is not equipped to handle patients in the field. She would be better off doing research and not directing interacting with patients, since she treats them like cattle.

Piggybacks off last drs recommendations=prejudice
The 1st remarks were of how she read the last drs report and had nothing new to offer only to try to tell me why the last wrote and how she is against medication. Even if it's helping and have been on it for years. Also this was the 1st dr that neglected to fill my medication and went on her 3 and 1/2 day weekend before filling anxiety medication which even had her office stunned. Not relatable, made me more anxious then before I met her.
