Great Doctor. Poor office and Optum conglomerate.
Dr Shapiro and the other Doctors are fantastic. Read on to find out why only 2 stars given to this practice...My two boys have been patients of Drs. Renna & Shapiro since they were born. We've also seen Dr. Davis and Nurse Lori as well as other medical staff members. Each one is excellent, and we had been delighted to have them as our boys' doctors over the years.However... this is now a conglomerate owned practice -Optum, and the service is nothing short of awful. Here's what happened on Thursday April 11, 2024....I called to set appointments for my boys during the mid-morning hours, not overnight after hours. Got Andre in the Philippines who was very hard to understand. Took a while but he eventually found their records. I asked him what age they see patients up to. He responded 'Age 23', and we made the appointments for both boys on Friday April 19th, at 3pm and 3:15pm with Dr. Shapiro. We always book together, back to back, since it is a 2 & half hour roundtrip to go there and

My family adores Dr Shapiro!! She is amazing with my kids and is an excellent diagnostician. She is patient and never rushes our appointments. She is the best!!

I attempted to speak with Dr. Shapiro about my crying infant at 4 am as she was the doctor on call and she was beyond rude and not helpful at all. She did not as questions and said that if baby had stopped crying there was nothing she could do for us. She then proceeded to say that because she was woken up she was "not at her best". Instead we ended up going back and forth. I don't understand how a doctor can not be concerned with a new borns health. I will no longe be going here.
