She is AWFUL!!! Please do not go to Dr. Honigbaum. She is completely incompetent and has absolutely no understanding of medicine. We went to her because she was a local specialist and we needed someone for our 12-month old daughter was not gaining weight. In our initial appointment I gave her a full list of my child's allergies. Knowing that my daughter is allergic to dairy (and having it in her records), she still asked me to give my baby pediasure (w/dairy) 2-3 times a day. After questioning her on ingredients, she confidently said, "Yes give it to her. I give it to all many of my patients." After using the samples she gave me, my 12-month old daughter immediately went into Anaphylactic Shock and I had watch her suffer while waiting for an ambulance to show up. The hospital and pediatrician have full record of this. I'm shocked she is still seeing patients. She almost killed my child.

My daughter was very sick and admitted in the INOVA Fairfax Hospital back in January 2017. Dr. Honigbaum was the Gastro Dr. on call. We weren't sure what the problem with my daughter was at first, but Dr. H did all the right tests, asked all the right questions and we discovered she has Severe UC. We are SO thrilled it was Dr. H who was on call that week. She is always friendly, calm, takes time to answer any questions, makes us all feel comfortable and explains everything so we understand.

The first time we made an appointemnt with Dr. Honigbaum but the second appotiemtn they lied to us and made us believe we made an appointment with her and gave us with the nurse practitioner instead, third appointment we asked for Dr. Honigbaum but the medical assist said she doesn't have appointment even months after. we asked to see another GI doctor and they say we can't see a different doctor. the thing is that my daughter still ill and the nurse practitioner can't give a diagnosis, don't go

Dr. Honigbaum was fantastic. She asked my daughter lots of good questions and was very personable. You can tell she knows what she's talking about. She explains everything wonderfully. I trust her to do only what she thinks is needed and good for my daughter. I definitely will recommend anyone to see her.
