I recently had the most profound and life-saving experience with Dr. Freeman during the delivery of my baby via C-section. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for her exceptional care and dedication. From the very beginning, Dr. Freeman was a beacon of calm and reassurance. She explained every detail of the procedure with clarity, easing my anxieties. Her compassion and genuine concern for my well-being were evident, making me feel truly cared for as a person, not just a patient. On the day of the delivery, Dr. Freeman went above and beyond. She spent the entire day with me, overseeing every detail with incredible attention and care. Her swift, decisive actions during the critical moments of my surgery saved my life. Her expertise and skill are unmatched, but it is her dedication and kindness that truly set her apart. Dr. Freeman is more than a doctor; she is a living God, a guardian angel whose selflessness and commitment to her patients make all the difference. Her extraordinary care not only saved my life but also left an indelible mark on me and my family. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Freeman to anyone seeking an OBGYN. Her unparalleled expertise, compassion, and dedication are truly life-saving. Thank you, Dr. Freeman for everything you have done. You are a true hero.

The way my wife was treated is outrageous. In her time of vulnerability when she was feeling symptoms of experiencing a second miscarriage, she was belittled by Stepanida Freeman for using the after-hours on-call number. Instead of owning her misstep, Freeman insists that her patients should wait until business hours to make her aware of a potential medical emergency.

I started going to Empowered OBGYN when I was 4 weeks pregnant to get blood work done, as I had a miscarriage in October of 2022. I saw two different nurse practitioners, who were great and I was scheduled to see Dr. Freeman at 8 weeks. At 6 weeks exactly I started spotting at 5 AM, and I felt scared and was unsure what to do. My husband and I talked it out for 30 minutes and I decided to call the office to see if they had an answering service. The woman who answered said Dr. Freeman was on call and would call me back. Dr. Freeman returned my call promptly at 5:45am and I explained what was going on, including my fear of miscarrying again and uncertainty if I just needed a prescription for progesterone. Dr. Freeman responded, “You know, it’s not nice for you to call me this early in the morning.” I felt shame hearing that and apologized, reiterating I was just scared and didn’t know what to do. She then explained that if I was going to miscarry it would happen no matter what, but she would send a prescription for progesterone to my pharmacy “if I have time.” I thanked her and told her I would appreciate the prescription. Hours later, my pharmacy still hadn’t received a prescription from Dr. Freeman so I reached out to my primary care doctor, who kindly spent a couple hours doing research to find the correct dosage and sent it into my pharmacy. Dr. Freeman never sent in the prescription. I am now past 14 weeks and my baby is doing great! I changed to a new OB in town because I felt dismissed, saddened, ashamed, and fearful due to the way Dr. Freeman handled the situation. I need to be able to trust my OB will help me and my baby in an emergency situation and Dr. Freeman’s response did not indicate that she was a provider who was there for me. I’ll never know for sure if the progesterone saved my baby’s life, but I do know I cannot recommend Dr. Freeman as she did not put forth the effort to help me or my baby in a time of need, and may have allowed my baby to die as a result. I am forever grateful to my primary care doctor (Dr. Tung) who went above and beyond to ensure my baby was safe.

Dr. Freeman literally saved my life (ectopic pregnancy), when other doctors “couldn’t fit me in” for a week or even a few weeks, she recognized my symptoms right away as potential ectopic and saw me immediately. She saved me from a severely painful, life-threatening emergency, finding it two to three weeks earlier than most people are able to. After laparoscopic surgery she performed, I was up and about after three days of surprisingly light recovery. She was compassionate and caring, even through the holidays and even through COVID. She is extremely concerned about you as a patient and even emails through the patient portal personally to answer questions, comment on your test results, and soothe your fears/concerns. Now I’m pregnant and her care in making sure this pregnancy is healthy is so stellar that I can’t recommend her highly enough. This is one of the only doctors that I can literally say has been a life-saver to me. I trust this doctor with my life and my prenatal care.

Dr. Freeman is the absolute greatest Doctor I have ever had. She genuinely listens and cares about my questions and concerns. She is not quick to get me out of her office and never acts impatient or annoyed with my requests. She is more than just my doctor, she is family and I would gladly drive long distances to receive her top of the line care. Thank you for taking such great care of me and my babies, Dr. Freeman!
