Dr. Stephanie Swanson, MD

Dr. Swanson worked with me through difficult decisions. She was kind, non judgemental, and helped me make informed decisions based on the science. I learned so much from her! I ultimately chose a hysterectomy, and was so disappointed because I thought it was the best choice - but not the choice I wanted. Afterward, I regretted waiting so long! Excellent care. Everyone, including Dr. Swanson, told me to prepare to be out of commission for a lengthy recovery. I bounced back immediately and only took 4 days off of work. She's got some kind of magic touch.

Dr. Swanson has been a pleasure to have as my Doctor. This is my third pregnancy and a 9 year gap since my last pregnancy..... she has been super sweet and informative. She is always on time and the staff is extremely professional along with being sweet during each visit I have had. The office is spacious and very clean exam rooms. They make you feel welcome and cared for, I have never felt rushed through an appointment.

Dr. Swanson and the entire staff at Virginia Women's Health Associates have been extremely helpful to me with a variety of health-related matters. Despite having a busy practice, I’m almost always able to schedule an appointment within a few days of calling and receive a response to my phone questions often the same day. Dr. Swanson is approachable, knowledgeable, non-judgmental, calm, and very caring. She answered all of my questions, especially during my pregnancy and in labor and delivery.

Absolutely amazing doctor. Had a newly discovered health problem that had the potential to impact my ability to have children. Dr Swanson really took the time to explain all of the different options available, the pros and cons of each, and then we came up with a treatment plan together. Highly recommend!

I will NEVER recommend anyone see this person! I had a same day cancellation with this doctor after the primary doctor could not see me. The excuse I was given was that the doctor was up late to help another patient and would not be in to see me. I scheduled this appointment 2 weeks in advance and very upset. The firm and practice is also awful and I have to say I have never been treated so disrespectfully! This doctor is also just as AWFUL!
