Experience with Dr Barbee is judged in terms of his office staff. Dr Barbee is always willing to spend more than sufficient time to solve problems. The front office woman is always empathetic and tries very hard to schedule as soon as possible in a very busy schedule. The medical assistant, Joyce , is self-important , overbearing, rude and extremely dismissive of patient concerns. She obviously is most interested in checking boxes in the chart and filling in blanks with no follow-up questions for understanding. Then--woosh--out the door. She seems to control the office and the Dr and follow up seems to be at her discretion and timeline regardless of patient concern.

Dr Barbee has always taken the time needed during appointments to get to the bottom of what may be going on. I have a chronic condition and he has dug to get answers. Not only was he able to find a directions but a great specialist to take it past where he could go.

Made appt. for a physical. Doctor asks "how are you doing?" Me, "A little stressed being 68 and wife with cancer and now coping with Covid-19 precautions." I DID NOT get my physical that I made the appt. for. He told me to call my other doctor if the stress got too bothersome. Out the door. $160.00 to tell me to call my other doctor and he did not perform my physical. So I complained about this. Next, I was notified that I was removed as a patient for complaining. This happened just as I needed a critical prescription refilled and now no provider. I will write AMA board to report this. I have a hard copy letter from a rude office manager to back this up.+

As of January 1, 2018, Dr. Barbee has opened up his own private practice and his staff is wonderful and Dr. Barbee is extremely happy to be out on his own. We are very happy that he took us back as patients.

Dr. Barbee is kind and caring. You never feel rushed. He takes all the time he needs for your visit. He is very thorough. He takes the time to explain everything and to answer your questions. You feel like he really cares and takes an interest in your well being. I would recommend him very highly.

You could not get a better doctor and staff. He explains everything to you. If you have a question he is more than willing to answer. His office is easy to get to. I am a woman who is over 60 and very heavyweight he never judges are makes you feel uncomfortable. Takes time out with whoever he is seeing. Very caring you can see it in his eyes. Dr. Barbee is the best.

Compassionate and brilliant man. I'm blessed to have him as my PCP.

Absolutely HORRIBLE office staff. especially the one who usually answers the phone.

I like Dr Barbee very much and appreciate his caring and professional persona, it's the front office staff that are unprofessional, insensitive and self-righteous minions. I called to clarify my appt and two days in a row...no answer. So I went to my appt the time I remembered which ended up being late. I have NEVER been late I have never been LATE IN TWO YEARS. Dr Barbee has been late every appt. Without asking staff called the patient advocate and provided their usual inaccurate dribble.

The staff are Great! In front and in back. Peoples need to understand that this is a business and there are a lot of people in need of medical care.

The person who answers his phone is less than unprofessional. Not caring nor empathetic! Sad service when this is your first impression of a healthcare professional.
