Dr. Stephen Fritz, MD

I was told by Dr. Fritz that he was sending a new medication to be approved by my insurance back in August of 2024 - It is now April of 2025 and it still hasn't been sent. He hasn't ever followed through on anything we've discussed. Also, his staff at the Tigard clinic is horrendous. Skip this guy and go see any of the other wonderful allergists in the Portland area.

I've had a really good experience with Dr. Fritz and his office staff. I've been receiving treatment for allergies, including weekly immunotherapy. I had a systemic, anaphylactic reaction to my shots that sent me to the ER in an ambulance. However, I felt completely safe during the emergency and everyone in the office handled the situation well.

I have been treated by Dr. Fritz for Common Variable Immune Deficiency for 10 years. I depend on him to treat me when I’m sick because HE’s AN IMMUNOLOGIST AND I HAVE AN IMMUNE DEFICIENCY! Today was the third time that I was very sick and called his office and his staff refused to get me treated. They didn’t even bother to call me back. If you or your child have an urgent medical issue, don’t count on getting help from Dr. Fritz.

Dr. Fritz is a rarity. He is compassionate, understanding, listens to your needs, and helps develop a plan for your care. He truly is one of the best doctors I've had and highly encourage him to anyone who needs treatment. The staff is always helpful, friendly, and very professional. If you need treatment and want to encounter an office that exceeds over and beyond professionalism, this is the place to go. Believe me, you wouldn't regret it.

The best allergy doctor in Portland bar none!!!!

I had been dealing with chronic hives for years and was at the end of my rope. Thankfully I found Portland Allergy & Asthma and Dr. Fritz. After two visits with him, my hives are now finally controlled! Thank you, Dr. Fritz and the incredible staff at Portland Allergy & Asthma!! Your attention to detail and genuine care has made my life so much better. I am eternally grateful to you all!!

I would recommend this clinic and Dr. Fritz. Why? They fit me in on an urgent basis firstly. Next, excellent and nice staff! Finally; Dr. Fritz sat at his office table to speak with me at length and was not in a hurry. He listened and shared good info. He took a interest in my allergy issues. This was my first visit to any an allergist in 20 years. I'm super impressed. I am not a big fan of these social media posts...but was motivated by that great of an experience! Worth the specialist co-pay. :)

I’ve been seeing Dr. Fritz for years now, for my numerous allergies as well as asthma. He is a lovely, kind, caring doctor who is very knowledgeable and, despite being so busy, always takes the time to talk with me and explain everything. I’d give him ten stars if possible. Highly recommend!

Dr. Fritz and his nurses provided one of my best experiences at a doctor's office yet! I really liked Dr. Fritz's sense of humor. He made me feel like I was visiting family when I was really nervous because I'm afraid of needles. He's made a big difference in how I feel during the spring and summer when I'm outdoors. You rock Dr. Fritz!

Best Allergist in Portland! You gotta go see Dr. Fritz

I began seeing Dr. Fritz in March of 2016. I had a severe ear nose throat infection that would not clear up. Dr. Fritz examined me, did some testing, and we had lots of conversation. He was able to determine that I had vasomotor rhinitis and asthma. With medications and follow up visits Dr. Fritz was able to help me get everything under control. Because I’m managing my symptoms well, I haven’t had to see him in about 2 years, for that I am truly grateful, but I do miss everyone. Dr. Fritz has a wonder chair side manner, he takes his time with each patient and he has a kind and caring staff. I highly recommend Dr. Fritz.

I had a good experience from the moment I talked to the nice and friendly office receptionist, who had the paperwork I needed to fill out a day before my appointment. The Registered Nurse was caring, knowlegeable and thorough, Dr. Fritz was very professional, friendly, approachable, cool and a great listener who took the time to answer all my questions and even ordered the labs I requested. Thank you for all for such a nice and stress free experience.

Dr. Fritz asked me if I slept on my earring wrong when I went in for an earache that was intermittent for about three weeks! When I told him who my last allergist was, and that she was moving due to I’ll health, he talked very disparaging of her. I felt he was very unprofessional about a fellow colleague and generally dismissive of me, as a patient. It was my first and last visit.

I'm sending everyone I know to Dr. Fritz. He and his staff are incredible! They helped my husband with his asthma. My son can now eat nuts safely without having anaphylaxis and my sneezing and stuffy nose is completely gone. He will always be my family's go to allergist!

I had to wait 6 weeks to get in but it was worth it. Dr. Fritz's staff were very friendly. Dr. Fritz made my hives go away after I had been to the ER 10 times with no improvement

I tried going to other allergists in my community but Dr. Fritz was the only one who was able to help improve my allergy symptoms

Never met him, but the PA. She has been great and all the nurses.
