Dr. Stephen Gelfman, DDS

Fantastic. I had to return to Dr Gelfman 11 years later for a different procedure. Front desk staff were professional, efficient, and friendly. Dr Gelfman was knowledgeable, astute, and masterful in his work. Technical assistant was patient, supportive, very intuitive to needs and responses.

Dr. Gelfman created a plan that was specific to me and may also have saved my life. I had been scheduled to have sedation dentistry at a different office, unbeknownst to Dr. Gelfman. When I went to Mosaic, Dr. Gelfman informed me that due to my medical history it would not be safe for me to have any sedation outside of a hospital. He ended up removing my wisdom tooth without any pain whatsoever. I was in and out of the office in 45 minutes and haven't needed to take any pain killers post procedure. My experience at Mosaic couldn't possibly have gone more smoothly. The office staff called me and provided me with accurate insurance information and post procedure follow up in a timely and clear fashion.

On more than one occasion Dr Gelfman relieved me from excruciating pain whether it's it was an abscess, or an infected root canal and needed extraction, he took care of me immediately despite being overbooked. He is very professional, knowledgeable and caring, I would not want to go anywhere else. He also extracted my daughters wisdom teeth successfully. He does not try to submit you to any unnecessary tests or procedures, I highly recommend him for any oral surgical care you might need

Dr. Gelfman was very friendly and informative, I cant say the same about his staff. I missed an appointment because I never received a reminder call and when I mentioned this to the receptionist, she responded with "well the notes say that someone called and left a message". I informed her once again that I never received a call or message and that this forced me to reschedule. The next week the same issue occurred. Staff needs to work on better customer service. An apology would've been nice.

I have never met a dentist or surgeon that I've liked more. Dr. Gelfman was professional, but friendly. He explained ALL my options and potential risks/benefits of each surgery choice. He provided his opinion but let me make up my own mind and made sure I was totally comfortable throughout the whole surgery. He paid attention to my facial expression and knew when I needed more Novocain. His staff is just as brilliant. They were calm, kind, and helpful. I will come here for any future procedures.

I had a consultation with Dr. Gelfman and decided not to have my procedure with him. He has a horrible attitude and is extremely condescending. I suggest going elsewhere. There are plenty of nicer oral surgeons out there.
