Dr. Stephen Herman, MD

This man had an obvious agenda as his hired-gun testimony, for which he is paid thousands of dollars, typically by the male partner, is used to discredit the woman. Herman has long been controversial in the courts. In my case, he was hostile, refused to accept any relevant information, as he was paid for by my spouse. He was rude and angry and dishonest and tried to intimidate me. He has since been featured in the NYTimes as an example of the lack of reliability of forensic testimony, and has most recently been asked to leave the courts when he tried to attack the wife and defend the character of her murderer. Thankfully, Herman was disgraced and his suspect "testimony" has brought about a change in the law as to the use of forensics in the courts.
