Taking care of patients.
I met Dr Hollister at the hospital. After having test, I was told that I had colon cancer. Dr Hollister explained everything to me. I'm so thankful that I had Dr Hollister for my surgeon. He was so caring an gentle. The very best of bedside manners. I would and will recommend him to anyone who may need the help of a doctor who is in my book, the BEST!!!

Saved my life
You can trust this doctor. He is caring, compassionate, humble, thorough, explains all you need to know, proper and timely orders, skillful and even personally informs you via phone of diagnostic results, AND unlike most surgeons frequently made rounds to see you while in hospital.

Doesn’t read the order
Never read where my order came from for the removal of my colon . He came in automatically thinking it was the same gastrointestinal dr as before until I told him it wasn’t. But, he sure made sure to cover his butt by sending a note to my gastro saying that he doesn’t recommend the surgery when in fact he didn’t even realize that it was a different reason why it was being ordered.

Dr. Hollister is our HERO! He saved my husband’s life at 81 years old! For 3 years the only way my husband’s bowels would move was to drink a bottle of citrate of magnesia. He stayed so swollen with gas that the buttons on his shirt wouldn’t fasten. Our family doctor ran out of suggestions, and a local surgeon told us that people did not like the surgical outcome. My husband had lost all hope. After a gastroenterologist in Nashville sent my husband for a CT scan, he sent him directly to emergency at Centennial hospital where we were referred to Dr. Hollister. My husband’s colon was entangled in blood vessels, and could have burst without surgical intervention. Dr. Hollister performed surgery on him on 8/28/2020, and my husband had great relief with a stoma for a year. On 8/12/2021 Dr. Hollister performed a stoma reversal surgery on my husband. Dr. Hollister’s skill and knowledge have restored my husband’s health and well being, and we will be forever grateful.

I was referred to Dr. Hollister after my first colonoscopy when a suspicious polyp was found. He was honest, professional, highly knowledgeable, and caring of my situation. He explained to me everything that he needed to do and put me at ease for the procedure that needed to happen. Everything went as planned and he even called me with my results quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Hollister to anyone that need his type of services!
