Dr. Stephen Lewis, DO

Dr Lewis listened to my 97 yr old mother and answered her questions. He was very kind, sincere and had empathy .

I went to the ER on March 26, 2022 with a laceration. I was extremely anxious and scared upon arriving, but attempted to hide it lol When Dr. Lewis came in, he was very soft spoken, which helped my anxiety. As he questioned the circumstances of my injury, he actually listened and showed me compassion, instead of being condescending and judging me. As someone who is diagnosed with BPD, I have encountered some very rude, egotistical, down right hurtful physicians through the years. This seems to be a common theme among the population. Dr. Lewis was different, he understood. He didn’t preach at me or scold me like a child. As a matter of fact, he actually encouraged me to share my strength and courage with others. To use my own experiences to help others deal with their own struggles and not feel so alone. He was genuine and kind, but most importantly to me, he heard me. He didn’t jump to what I feared. He trusted me. He has NO clue, but that was huge for me. Thank you Dr Lewis :)
