Avoid at all costs
Dr Lingo is a poor communicator and physician. We had a serious medical need and he was far more interested in leaving for a vacation than caring for his patient. We literally had to beg for appropriate care. I would avoid at all costs. There are hundreds of far more capable physicians in Charlotte. I have truly never been more disappointed in a doctor.

I wrote an earlier review of Lingo this morning, but am going to add to add another as follow up. I went to see him this morning to get an order for a diagnostic mammogram. In doing so, I told him that I'd had previous surgeries, last one back in 2008 and prior for recurring abdominal tumors. Next thing he does and unrelated for why I'm there is he lies me down (FULLY CLOTHED) and proceeds to heaven hard on my abdomen like 6 times. It hurt like the *dickens* (using a nice word here) what he did and he was overly aggressive and I finally said "STOP!!! You are hurting me!!!" Here I am now 14 hours later and I'm **still hurting**. I'm not a fan of pain meds and at this point in the evening I'm STILL in so much pain that first thing tomorrow I'm calling their office if I'm still hurting and firing him from ever being responsible for my care again. I'm just so disappointed that this man is responsible for treating people. WHAT IS WRONG WITH LINGO?????

Always been an excellent, professional, compassionate Doctor, who spent time listening and going over medical issues even though he only had 15 minutes for each patient . Now with the Covid-19 , all of these wonderful qualities have changed. I hope he was just having a really bad day!

Dr. Lingo is an Excellent doctor. I read these one-star reviews with disbelief and incredulity. In fact, I've had many, many doctors over my lifetime and some were very good and others not as good, but I'm here to tell anyone who will listen that Dr. Lingo is *the best* doctor I've ever had. He is thorough, caring and works very hard to get answers by asking detailed and probing questions. But not only is he courteous and kind, but exceptionally bright and competent. He diagnosed me with a condition from which I had suffered years. The very best of the best doctors are able to do that and Dr. Lingo is right there among that group. You can take the one-star reviews into consideration, but please take mine and the others in consideration as well and please know that in my opinion, giving Dr. Lingo a chance to be your caregiver would be a wise and prudent choice.

Dr. Lingo gave me the time I needed as a new patient. He is pleasant and very thorough. He quickly grasped my medical needs and prescribed medications for me. I really like him as a person and as an excellent doctor.

This doctor is a joke and should be reported to the board. He does not live by the code of ethics that a doctor agreee to. He is not trustworthy and is dangerous. He discriminates and sizes you up by your dress and look. He told my partner to stop taking a certain medicine cold turkey because he didn’t want to treat him anymore but the label warning of the script says it could be fatal if not tapered off and Lingo completely ignored this warning and refused to refill it for him. Stay away!

My late sister was a patient of Dr. Lingo for 5 years. She was in rehab in October, 2015 for addiction to opiates. Dr. Lingo continued prescribing Fetanyl AFTER her rehab until her death on September 28, 2017. He downgraded the patches to 75mgs for 3 months after her in patient rehab, then up to 100mg patches.

Saw Dr. Lingo for 3 visits, assuming during the first 2 visits that maybe he was having a bad day. He never returned the lab results for my physical. I called the office 3x to get them. I finally received my results 5 weeks after the physical. He is hasty, demeaning, and sarcastic. I do not believe the 5 star ratings. They are probably him doing reviews on himself. If you have a true medical concern do not put your life and care in Dr. Lingo's hands.

I saw Dr. Lingo because I had been having back and stomach pains for weeks. After performing a physical exam on my back and stomach to determine my areas of concern he concluded that he didn't know. He asked zero questions about my lifestyle and provide no recommendations other than to "stand up straight" and have my husband "do all the work". He did offer to write a prescription for my husband to give me a back rub. Dr. Lingo came across as incompetent, rushed and uncaring.

He is very professional, and knowledgeable, along with very caring. He takes the time to listen, before he gives his opinion. His expertise in many health conditions, allows him to evaluate the problems, with necessary tests, to properly diagnose the diseases, which then can be treated. This gives me, as a patient, piece of mind, that he will not give up, until he finds the answers, to your symptoms. Again, proving to his patient, how concerned he is for their needs!!
