When I went to Dr. Malamud in late June 2018, the metastatic breast cancer I'd been fighting for 7 years had blown up. I was, in fact, dying. During the next two months, he fixated on one aspect of my disease, and neglected to treat me with anything effective against this extremely aggressive recurrence. During that time, mostly ignored by him, I grew sicker and sicker, and my tumor markers soared. I left him just in time to find another oncologist who immediately put me on a strong treatment.

Aside from his manner, which is detached, disinterested, and dispassionate, the way his office runs is disgraceful. Emergency or not, phone calls are NEVER returned. Results of blood tests aren't read ... only when I inquired, did an assistant read the report to discover a critically low number. Perhaps the doctor should reacquaint himself with the Hippocratic Oath and consider retiring.

Had my first appt with Dr Malamud after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at 39. He has a warmth and wit that provided comfort at a terrible time. I feel he is an advocate for his patient and I look forward to working with him on my care.

Dr Malamud is very nice and a fine doctor, but the experience in his office is awful. I have been to see him twice and had to wait over TWO HOURS both times. Neither time has there been any acknowledgement that my time is being wasted.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Malamud?
Dr. Malamud was a backup doctor in August of 2013, my father's primary doctor was in Russia for 3 weeks. Dr. Malamud was supposed to check up on my Dad since he was right there but he never did. He did not return my Mother's calls so the likelihood of my family recommending the Doctor is zero. When a family member has cancer, you expect someone to return your call, shocking!
