Dr. Stephen Sims, MD

Dr. Sims is great, however, dealing with his front desk staff is a nightmare. Marie at the front desk implied I was laying about a prescription refill; 'I don't know who is lying, you or the pharmacy.' Extremely rude. The PA Courtney is also not great and not very personable.I know Dr. Sims well and he is a great guy, but the staff he surrounds himself with make the experience awful for the patient. I regretfully am going to have to look elsewhere for my care.

I was referred to Dr. Sims, and best decision I ever made. He is on top of his game and all research. His referrals to specialists are easy and the specialists quickly diagnosed a health problem I have that no other doctor cared enough to dig into. I am grateful for Dr. Sims and his amazing office staff.

I scheduled an appointment for a refill on antidepressants but instead he decides that adderall is the better solution. After a couple months of taking it, I started to abuse it and when I went to him for help and how to taper down he pretty much left me on my own. Told me I should just sleep off the week, but how can I do that when I have work and other things that need to be completed during the day.

Dr. Simms has been my Dr. for many years. He is very caring and explains every thing. He is the best Dr. I have ever had. Would refer him to all my friends and family. I do have to drive a bit far but it is worth it. Very happy with Doctor and amazing staff.

Dr.Sims is a wonderful careing man.He has helped me through some very hard times.He is so kind and truly cares about you.l wouldn't go to any other Dr. I've never been treated so well by him and his fantastis staff. He has helped me to optimize my health during this time. He does an excellent job staying up to date on current research, and is open to discussing this in detail with patients. Dr Stephen Sims is probably the most compassionate and knowledgeable family doctor in the Bay Area. From the latest medical studies, to the top specialists referrals, Dr Sims finds answers and solutions. His “team” approach to medicine is unmatched. Dr Sims focuses on total wellness, mind body and spirit. I travel from another state to keep Dr Sims as my primary care physician. A super high recommend here! He has called me with test results, long after the office closed...follow up unmatched.

Dr. Sims reminds me of how things were in the good old days. It would not surprise me if Dr. Sims made house calls. I have received guidance and advice from him late into the evening, long after most doctors have gone home. He works tirelessly and genuinely cares about his patients health and concerns. The facility is top notch. Clean and well maintained. I would also like to compliment his staff. They have been very patient with me even though at times I may not have deserved it.

Dr Sims is knowledgeable and friendly. His staff makes an effort to remember you. However, he runs late. I always make an effort to be early to my appointments, however, he has been 30 minutes behind or so every time I come and I find this aspect disappointing.

It's been a full week trying to find a really good family doctor for my daughter and I. Today, I took my daughter to be seen by Dr. Sims. It was our first time and he was so caring, thorough with her symptom (ear infection) and he even took the time, to see me for my burn injury. I was very pleased with him and his staff was so friendly.

Dr. Sims is an awesome diagnostician and he has a fantastic bedside manner. I am not kidding when I say that he is the best doctor I have ever had.
