Dr. Stephen Sisco, MD

I had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel due to diverticulitis. Dr Sisco was not my original surgeon. After emergency surgery I had only seen him while admitted in BMH, he was the antendee on the flow the week after my surgery. He answered all my questions and the nurses on duty spoke highly of him. When I was released I had follow ups scheduled with my original surgeon, but was only assigned to NP's and DA's. I never saw my original doctor. So I requested my follow up surgery and all follow ups be performed by Dr Sisco. I made the correct decision and was very pleased with the final surgery outcome and treatment. He was very detailed in his instruction and answers. Skills and bedside manner were 5 out of 5!

Met at emergency room as throwing up, exhibiting an obstruction. Surgery found a small tumor-didn’t show on CT scan- removed. Dr Sisco exhibited utmost professional care, approach, understanding, etc. I put capability first on my list for docs, with bedside manner much lower, but Sisco was great on all attributes. Plus the entire team of other doctors, nurses, etc. was superior. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Went to Beaufort Memorial Emergency due to pain in abdomen. X-rays and CT determined a perforated bowel. Dr Sisco came and explained options, we tried a conservative approach of antibiotics first, but It became apparent that surgery was necessary. My care with Dr Sisco and his team have been excellent. They spend time to explain and answer questions.If things need to be added or changed in plan of care, Dr Sisco makes sure that it happens quickly, so care is managed efficiently. I would highly recommend Dr Sisco as a surgeon, based on my care.

Dr. Sisco did two surgeries on my mother and one on my brother. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know. He went above and beyond his duty to take care of our family on all three occasions. His staff is excellent too!

I have never had a bad experience with a doctor with Beaufort Memorial Hospital until today I had never met Dr. Sisco until this day - he took over for Dr. Burres (my first surgical specialist) No beside manor - I mean 0 Made disparaging remarks about the room I was placed - not his room, but Dr. Ashby's (Gyno) Made me wait 30 minutes undressed after asking me to come earlier for my appointment Spent 5 minutes examining me Didn't ask me anything Wouldn't listen to what I had to say - brushed me off rudely leaving the room as I'm speaking saying that's for a different doctor even though it affected my breasts and overall health. Did not show me my actual sonogram as Dr. Burrus had I had to ask for a printout of the sonagram findings from the PA - the PA was great I have asked to be reassigned to the new incoming female surgeon for my future visits

I was there for a breast biopsy, follow up appointment,he did not know where the target point was,he did not know why they did not hit the target,he thought the marker had moved and did not know when I could have another mammogram,or ultra sound,was clearly frustrated with any questions

Dr. Sisco amputated my big toe, surgery went great my issues are with after care which was non existent. I needed an insert for my shoe which Dr. Sisco was unable to provide nor did he provide a referral to a doctor that could. In the end I have never felt abandoned by a doctor till now

I had an emergency surgery at BMH and I feel very blessed that Dr. Sisco was assigned to me. After meeting him briefly before surgery, I had complete faith in his ability. His explanation of what was about to happen to me was simple and easy to understand. I ended up having 3 surgeries in 6 days, one by Dr. Sisco and 2 by two other specialists. Dr. Sisco checked on me after each procedure and gave me complete confidence in my ability to heal. Thank you, Dr Sisco, you are an asset to BMH.

Most simply put he save my life. After two emergency surgeries, a months stay at Beaufort Memorial Hospital and numerable follow-up visits I only have praise for Dr. Sisco and his staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Sisco to both family and friends.
