I had a 4,5 cm meningioma found by a French doctor in Michigan City. Ambulance boys highly urged Dr Stephen Smith. His survival to me was given as 98 percent, not the average 90 ..He saved my life. The tumor had grown perhaps 20 years. He is better than going to UCLA where I passed my boards.

Dr. Smith and his staff are the best. I had back surgery and during my stay at the hospital he made sure I had everything I needed. He even called me on a Saturday at home to make sure I was still comfortable. He’s the best!

The care I received from Dr Smith was exceptional. He thoroughly explained everything from the first day that I saw him. He studied my back and said his passion was to make it perfect. Which I am glad because as he did a great job of fixing my back. The recovery period was long but he also informed me that this would be a marathon and not a sprint for recovery. I am so blessed that Dr. Smith did my surgery as 4 years later I am still praising God for sending me to him for surgery.

Shows compassion and takes the time to listen to your concerns and questions. Explains things and makes sure that you understand. I have never felt rushed while seeing him.

We had previous experience with Dr. Smith when he saved my mother's life in 2012. so when he said my husband must have surgery we totally trusted his advise even tho my husband had neck surgery 15 years ago with a DIFFERENT doctor and it went terrible. It was apparent from as early as the recovery room that Dr. smith had used EXTREME care while he corrected the problem without causing damage to the neck . Dr. Steven Smith & Kyle Moser screwed up my decompression surgery leaving me with multiple severe nerve damage problems causing me lifelong permanent disabilities & extreme pain. Then they basically left me completely hanging with nothing & no hope & no quality of life without any care. They are strictly cutters & after that they pretty much want nothing to do with you, unless they can cut you up some more.

In 3.5 months of "care" after he diagnosed two fractures in my C-7 vertebra in the emergency room, Dr. Smith met with me once and only once. He had not ordered the proper CT scan to tell whether one of the fractures had healed after 5 weeks. (It had not.) Commenting that I probably did not want to keep coming in (true), he said that he would telephone with results and recommendations. He never did. I had to telephone his office repeatedly and was able only to speak to a receptionist.
