Post concussion syndrome
My daughter was in a near fatal wreck in Mississippi and after she got out of the hospital I took her to him to see if she was ok to return to work and go to Nashville and he did no exam no teststo see if her brain bleed she had in the wreck was ok. All he did was ask what happened and then he said she was good to go back to Nashville and to work. About a week or so later she had a seizure and we had to go get her she couldn't see and she was out of her mind ! We took her to Dr Swaid and he said she had post concussion syndrome and that she should not have been even looking at a computer or working! And he actually did a brain scan! It took her many months to get better we would have loved to known this could have been possibility after being knocked out in the wreck but know we thought she was good thanks to Dr Suggs and we all lived a nightmare because of it.

I saw Dr Suggs many years ago when he was practicing in Decatur, AL for severe 24/7 migraines. Dr Suggs was neither sympathetic nor effective. After two solid months of 24/7 pain, I called Dr Suggs and when he returned my call he told me that I had used up his “bag of tricks” and that perhaps I should see a psychiatrist. I ultimately found an amazing neurologist in Nashville who has not only discovered the cause of the migraines but has worked tirelessly with me to control them. She is exceedingly kind and was quite horrified that Suggs suggested that I needed a psychiatrist. He MAY be better with strokes but NEVER see him for migraines. He is completely out of his depth with them and is basically a jerk.

Dr. Suggs was condescending. He did nothing to improve my mothers neurological status or treatment at all after being sent to Baptist South Hospital's Neuroscience trauma unit in Montgomery Al. All he did was pop in for a few seconds, never truly work with her or look at her for longer than 10 seconds and leave. He never made any recommendations as to her treatment or care. Horrible treatment and no professionalism. This was a hospital experience only.
