Dr. Steven Boardman, MD

I fell on my knee a few months ago, and came to Dr. Boardman for a 2nd opinion after leaving my local hospital unsatisfied with the answer. Dr. Boardman took the time to explain how the knee muscles and tendons are connected, and explained using enough medical terminology to help me understand, but also not too much to where I couldn’t understand. Highly, highly recommend. If I ever have a need for an orthopedic specialist again, Dr. Boardman will be my first choice, regardless of the distance.

Dr. Boardman is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable. He answers all questions and makes sure all procedures are explained very well. He puts you right at ease and makes you feel like he cares about what you may be dealing with. He puts out the options needed to help you but does not force his opinion on you. I would definitely request him if I should need care in the future.

Dr Boardman is great. Gets right to the point. Explains options and stresses it is your choice and your decision.

I have used Dr Boardman for left and right elbow surgery. Having issues with rotator cuff now. I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

I've been seeing Dr Boardman for over 15 yrs! He has done 3 surgeries on my knees and I am very satisfied. He is so good at education I don't feel left in the dark about what's going to happen. I love his Nurse practioners too! He'll likely b doing my knee replacement when the time comes! He has kept me active and able to work the hospital and ambulance! Thanks Doc!

The entire process of my hip replacement from the first visit to assess my pain, until the 6 week post-op visit was very professional. After my personal doctor recommended ORA and Dr. Boardman to me, the process went very smoothly. We began with x-rays, therapy, and a lot of conversation about the extent of pain, and whether it was improving or worsening. We determined that replacement was the best option. And I say we, because I was always a part of any decisions. I was well prepared for the replacement surgery the end of December, and was well cared for at by Unity Point Health and Dr. Boardman's team. I continue with stretching exorcises and movement seems to improve every day. I am blessed to have received such great care and would highly recommend Dr. Boardman and ORA.

Dr Boardman both listened well and explained everything very well. He answered all my questions and was not rushed despite the fact I was worked into his schedule due to the nature of my injury.

My daughter fractured her collarbone and we were referred to Dr. Boardman. She brought a stuffed animal with her because she was nervous, and he asked what it's name was and played with it a little, and managed to make her laugh at a time when she was scared and in pain. It was obvious he was knowledgeable and experienced in his practice, as well as personable and fun. I would recommend him to anyone who has a nervous kid coming in.

Dr Boardman did a wonderful job with my total hip replacement. My recovery has went well. He is a experienced Surgeon and I am happy he did mine. He also has a sense of humor.

The reception room wait was brief. Next headed to x-Ray waiting room wait, again a short wait then to evaluation room. Dr Boardman arrived shortly and explained what the issues are and made recommendations. Very satisfied
