Took 2 weeks for test results confirming uti
Went to a urologist after a uti hadn't cleared. Doctor sent the urinalysis for a pcr test on the Friday of my visit stating I'd have results the following Monday. One week later, didn't hear anything and followed up with the office. 4 days later they replied to my email stating I did have a uti and that they called medicine in. This was my first and last visit.

Didn't follow protocols
Dr didn't clean hands going in and out of exam room. This was fine since he didn't examine me at all. He never asked my name...assumed I had just been released from the hospital. Clearly he thought I was a different patient. I corrected. Then he assumed I had high blood pressure based on one medication on my chart that I take for another reason. That was pretty much how the whole meeting went. Assumptions and correction. Just a lot of red flags.

No follow up- completely ignored
I waited 2.5 months for my appointment. We rushed through it. The prescription was called in wrong. I went through the follow up test within 3 days- it’s now been 3 weeks since my results have been posted and there has been ZERO follow up. I’ve sent numerous requests through the Duly MyChart -all ignored. It’s impossible to call because no one answers. I spent 40 min on hold. I gave up and got in to a different doctor for a 2nd opinion within a week - This guy is obviously too busy for new patients. Don’t waste your time.

Dr Brandes saved my life January 2010.
Dr Brandes is a truly gifted surgeon. My wife and I believe we haven’t or could have had a better doctor. We smile every time we think of Dr Brandes. I was his last surgery on my date and believe I was his sixth of the day. The team had to be changed due to time limits. My surgery was at least six hours. 3 week hospital stay with post operative problems. I never doubted Dr Brandes care for one second.

Dr Brandes did an uretra reconstruction for my husband which was completely destroyed by another doctor at the time of a prostate reductionsurgery. There were two mayor procedures that were done to correct the problem. I give thanks to God and to Dr Brandes for giving my husband his normal life back. Hope that people are lucky enough to find him during critical times.

Dr. Brandes fixed my severe adult cripple hypospadias condition. Due to the complex nature of the stricture, the optimal procedure was a 2-stage buccal graft urethroplasty. Dr. Brandes does speak quickly, and acts in a hurry, and he is an unassuming and warm individual. Do not be misled by his demeanor, this guy is super smart, cares, and is incredibly talented at what he does. He took an unstructured situation and reconstructed to perfection, in both function and form. He saved my life.

I have a lot of health issues and have been seen by alot of doctors as a result. But I've never been treated as poorly as I was by Brandes. The arrogance and complete lack of empathy was alarming. He spent very little time with me during my initial consult and slipped away before I had a chance to ask all of my questions. When I made issue of this, we was aggressive and condescending. Upon receiving my medical records from him, I noticed that his assessment was, in part false, and unprofessional

Dr. Brandes performed a psoas hitch surgery on me in 2012. I have had numerous major surgeries comma radiation, and chemotherapy as a child. I only have my left kidney, and had a ureteral blockage due to scar tissue. Dr. Brandes saved my kidney, and return me during normal kidney function with no medications needed. I would recommend him to anyone who has a complicated kidney procedure needing to be done. He is a first class surgeon in my book!
