Dr. Steven Dworetsky, MD

I started seeing Dr Dworetsky after I had a terrible car accident in 1999 and he was the only doctor who was able to help me through two years of recovery by patiently finding the right medicine to help get me out of the fog I was experiencing. For two years my husband worried I would end up like a zombi but working with Dr Dworetsky I ended up back to my real self. Just recently I was involved in another car accident and even after years away from seeing him, I was able to set an appointment and find relief in speaking with him again. His ability to provide amazing insight into what needs to happen and allow me to calm down in knowing with time my brain will heal gives me the hope and kind advice I needed to hear. Thank you Dr Dworetsky for being who you are.

Dr. Dworetsky was not my favorite psychiatrist. He did not know any of the newer drugs and kept trying to push me toward lithium, which just made me toxic. I never really felt like he was listening.

Very easy to talk to and is clear and concise with questions and instructions. Much like talking to a close friend you can always trust!

I've seen Dr. D for many years (generally only every few months) to manage medications. He's very knowledgeable about all the options, and even when it's just a routine check-in, he pays close attention and makes sure everything is working as well as possible for me. He's truly caring and sympathetic, with an active attitude that if things can be better, let's do what's necessary to make it happen.
