Doctor Efird recently preformed umbilical hernia surgery on me that ended up being a double herina repair. I can’t express enough how thankful I am to have been in the hands of such a skilled surgeon. Dr. Efird was very knowledgeable and explained the procedure while answering my many questions during my pre-op appointment. He also prayed with me prior to the operation and was very professional, polite, and left me with a feeling of confidence in his abilities. Rest assured if I find myself in need of surgery again, this will be the man who I will go to!!

I recently had an appointment and surgical procedure with Dr. Efird. Every aspect of my visit from the office staff and hospital staff at Blue Ridge Medical Center was exceptional. Dr. Efird was knowledgeable and took time to explain everything to me and cared about how I was feeling before and after my procedure. Dr. Efird has been treating me for over a year now since I discovered a lump in my breast. He installed a port and recommended chemo to shrink the tumor before doing a lumpectomy. He and his staff are caring, prompt and efficient. He explains procedures and his reasons for his recommendations. He is also refreshingly open to some alternative supplements which I wanted to use as an adjunct to traditional treatment. He is comforting and prays with you prior to surgery. I feel blessed to have him help me regain my health.

I would highly recommend Dr. Efird to anyone. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly, giving you as much information as possible while making you feel like "family." My mom's surgery went without a hitch. Dr. Efird's calm demeanor made me and my family feel little to no stress.

Dr. Efird performed three surgeries on my husband in the past 9 years. Each time, the doctor was kind, thorough, gentle, caring, and explained everything very clearly. He encouraged my husband and I to ask questions if we wanted to. Our feelings and concerns were important to him. He is a Christian, which I especially appreciate. Dr. Efird is one of the best doctors I know. I highly recommend him.
