Treats the symptoms
Dr. Eisenberg is absolutely typical of the medical profession: he treats the symptoms rather than understanding the underlying cause of cardiovascular disease. I came to him with some bouts of shortness of breath.Dr. E came into the examining room after a thorough, possibly 90 min, set of tests by his excellent and friendly staff. We meet for the first time. Some small talk ensues. He explains that have some plaque but I have good blood flow. Then he states that I need to be statins and a beta blocker. 'Why the statins,' I ask.'Well you need to get your numbers down to 70 or less' he responds.'Hmmm, what are my numbers? How bad is it?'Dr. E then asks his assistant (Emily I believe), who is dutifully taking notes on a laptop, what my numbers are.'Well, actually his test results hasn't come in yet,' replies Emily sheepishly. That was my last appointment with Dr. Eisenberg.

Scheduling Assistant needs serious training
My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Eisenberg in June. I called the same day and made an appointment. They couldn't get me in until October. That's a long wait...but I trust my primary care doctor. In September I got a voicemail saying they were canceling the appointment. I called them back several times before closing hours and they did not answer (there is not answering machine). Later I called back and left a message with the answering service. No one ever called me back. 3 weeks later I receive a phone call this morning from his office asking me about the other appointments I have made with a different cardiologist with Northside (not their business). The scheduling assistant was rude, short and had a very snotty tone. They canceled on me after a long wait because they scheduled me on a Jewish holiday and the doctor wanted to cancel my appointment. Why did his office assistant schedule me for that date to begin with? Schedule assistant needs some serious training.

Dr. Eisenberg. I originally met him when he put a stent in my father's heart (saving his life) and I now see him for preventative care because of family history. Dr. Eisenberg is super smart, spends time with his patients and is on top of all the latest advancements in cardiac care. I would recommend Dr. Eisenberg to anyone who wants their heart in good hands.

You have to drag information out of him. His front office staff are very uncoordinated.

Unfortunately, after waiting for an hour and a half in his office, I was informed the doctor was out of the building. No apology or explanation was offered. The appointment was scheduled 3 months in advance and changed to a different date by the office because the doctor was not available on the original date. However, it seems he was not available on the date the office signed me up to also. Half a day wasted with no explanation or apology from the doctor or the office.

I really Liked Dr. Eisenberg, He is very thorough and polite, The Staff is very polite, considerate and super helpful. I had an appointment which was due after two months, the Staff on hearing my problems scheduled me for a visit much earlier and then also helped me calm down as I was anxious on seeing the cardiologist. The waiting time also was very short. I will definitely recommend Dr. Eisenberg to everyone, Wonderful Doctor and Wonderful Staff.

To the point but takes the time to talk and answer questions. After several emergency surgeries by another doctor, he probably saved my life by getting the water that stayed after the surgery out of my body so I could breath and move.

I went to Dr. Eisenberg after another cardiologist gave me what I thought was a faulty diagnosis (delivered callously and hastily). Realizing how upset I was, the receptionist gave an appointment for the next morning. Dr. Eisenberg reviewed my previous test results. talked to me, and had me return next day for a nuclear stress test. Bottom line: CARING doctor. ACCURATE diagnosis. GREAT staff. SUPERIOR diagnostic equipment. HAPPY patient. If you need a cardiologist, see Dr. Eisenberg.
