What a joke of a doctor
He might know how to ablate veins, but that’s about it. Moreover his bedside manners are lacking completely. Why does UCLA even have such a quack?

I'm writing this review on behalf of my 82 year old mother who was seen by Dr. Farley at the UCLA Wound Healing Clinic for an abscessed wound on her lower leg. She went to the clinic based on UCLA's reputation of excellence however her visit with Dr. Farely did not in any way come close to being anything but a waste of her time. He was rude and dismissive while doing nothing at all for the wound. He ended the appt by telling her that he had a salve that would help the tissue heal but that she would have to come back to UCLA the next day for a wound clinic to get the salve. When my 82 year old mother wanted to buy the salve at the end of her appt to avoid having to drive all the way back to UCLA the next day, he would not sell it to her. She left the appt confused, angry and deeply sad at being treated the way she had been. Dr. Farely is an embarrassment to UCLA's reputation and should not be allowed to practice medicine until he spends a few years embodying the hippocratic oath he took when he became a physician.

I took my father to Dr. Farley for his clogged up Carotid artery, and my father is a really tough guy to deal with, OCD and depression with some borderline traits, and on top of thay barely speaks english. But wow Dr. Farley was so patient with us, and the fact that he quited studies where this type of stensosi doesn't really require surgery or even he doesn't recommend it unless there are physical symptoms gave away how he is not in it for the money. My own personal exp with surgeons and physicians in general has been somewhat different as if you walk into a car dealership they are trying to sell you something. But that wasn't the case. But we ended up doing the surgery based on our own reasoning. Please guys don't be afraid to push back and state your own reasonings, its a 2 way conversation the consultation. Anyways the surgery everything went very well, and i usually don't write reviews but i felt i owed it to the positive experience to tell, and was shocked by other - reviews.

I've had dismissive doctors before, but sheesh.
I was sent to Dr. Farley by my cardiologist, also at UCLA, who had ordered an ultrasound of my vertebral and carotid arteries that showed significant stenosis. Dr. Farley said, "well, the report looks scary, but you're fine. Just take an aspirin." Then he went on to tell me that this is common among women in their 50s. I'm 44, and I had a stroke when I was 36.

Nobody has been ruder or more unkind to me than Dr. Farley. He treated me with disdain, refused to listen when I spoke, ignored the issues I came to discuss, and walked out of the room as I was speaking. The only excuse for behavior so reprehensible would be a personal crisis so severe he couldn't function around people now. If that's the case, I sympathize. Otherwise I feel that this man shouldn't be allowed to treat patients. Maybe he could change his speciality to pathologist so that his obnoxiousness would be no issue to the patient. After leaving his office, I had to pull my car over so I could burst into tears--and it wasn't even because of the severe physical pain I'm in. Nobody should be treated that way by a doctor. Sheesh, kidnappers are kinder to their victims than he is to patients.
