Dr. Steven Faulks, MD

He listens and is very kind.

Today I left a doctors office in tears due to how Dr. Faulks treated me. The “myth” that women's symptoms are dismissed came true for me today. This was a 6 month follow up and when asked what had changed, I started to tell him. He dismissed my concerns and talked over me. When I told him that I felt like he wasn’t hearing me, he apologized then continued to talk over me. I shut down and realized that I could not and should not say anything else or ask any additional questions. His lack of empathy for me and my situation was apparent, shocking and frankly hurtful. Dr. Faulks has a LOT to learn about patient care, especially in women of a certain age. I do not recommend him and I will be requesting a new primary care doctor as soon as possible. I am hopeful that with age and maturity, Dr. Faulks will realize how important listening, empathy and a good bedside manner are in the patient doctor relationship. I deserved to be treated with more dignity and respect. He should do better.

This is a first visit review. Took my mother to see Dr. Faulks. I appreciated that he acknowledged me in the room but did listen and engage with my mother. He reviewed her history while in a seated position, and listened while providing feedback. By the end of the visit, we didn't solve the all the issues BUT we had a clear plan of action for the next 8 weeks. This met our objective for this first visit and we will gladly follow his instructions and follow-up with Dr. Faulks. My mother was relieved after the visit and hopeful.

My husband and I are both retired and found Dr Faulks when our previous PC retired a little over a year ago now. We couldn’t be happier. He’s attentive and pro active. We feel very confident being under his care. Also, the communication portal is easy to navigate and very helpful.

Dr. Faulks is knowledgeable, helpful, a good listener, and he does not rush through your visit.
