I have been a patient of Dr. Kardos for over 6 months and have nothing but respect for him and confidence in his abilities. During this time, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I found Dr. Kardos to be knowledgeable, confident in his procedures and protocols, and understanding of what I was going through as a patient. He referred me to a radiation oncologist and other surgical colleagues to offer various points of view and options, which I greatly appreciated. Note, however, that Dr. Kardos is not a "warm fuzzy" - he is direct and straightforward (which I appreciate); but, he is more than willing to accept input, take questions, and review options.

Seeing him 2 years now every 3 months. My prostate cancer is under control and has not progressed because of his treatments (no operation). I have full confidence in Dr. Kardos. By the way, he is now in Fairfield, CT.

Just as the first reviewer, I had the same uneasy feeling.. He had no empathy whatsoever He just stated that I had a mass. He did not even tell me the size or exact location. He started planning more procedures before I could even process what was happening. It did seem to me that he was driven my financial motivation and not my health. I am following up with another Urologist.

spent a maximum of 15 minutes TOTAL discussing surgery options w/ no mention of alternative solutions. had an uneasy feeling from the first meeting. doesn't seem trustworthy and appears to practice only for the pay.
