Kessler did not review my pathology report and did not perform a small intestine biopsy. I could hear him laughing about my remark before I went under. Then he left the hospital before I woke up in recovery. The nurse had to call him to tell me all was ok. He didn’t realize the pathology report showed I had some form of Celiac Disease.

Please take the time and Steven Kessler previous reviews before going to see him. I knew the reviews were bad but I chose to overlook them because I know people can leave these reviews without merit, or because of knee jerk reactions. Throughout my 4.5 month journey with Dr Kessler I saw glimpses of his poor reviews but I combatted it with charm persistence and charisma. I encountered poor staffing challenges and I personally shrugged it off to make it work. After being admitted to the hospital for the 4th time for my second emergency colonoscopy I realized Steven Kessler may be in over his head. Right after a colonoscopy while I was still sedated he communicated to me my colon was pretty beat up and we needed to change my medication and try something new. He communicated to me he would be up later to go over the results. This meeting never happened so I just figured he got busy and we would meet before I was released. I called his office the next day to find out if he was go

Unable to preform a surgical procedure due to a family “issue” 2 weeks beyond when he deemed it necessary, then cancelled 3rd procedure hours before surgery due to “equipment issues”. Cares more about financial well being Rather than patient well being!

I went to Dr. Kessler because of a very serious stomach problem. After doing a colonoscopy and some blood work, he tried to write me off as having IBS. I had to fight for him to continue doing tests because I knew it was not IBS. Finally after getting so frustrated, I switched to another GI doctor. The new doctor found out that I had severe GERD and ulcerative colitis. If left untreated, my condition could have worsened. Instead, Dr. Kessler was fine with just writing me off.

My husband was referred to Dr. Kessler. The office staff was very kind and professional. We were seen within 5 minutes of our appt. time. We found Dr. Kessler to be pleasant and professional. He scheduled a colonoscopy for my husband. The colonoscopy was scheduled at Erlanger and the staff there was also great. The results of the colonoscopy was explained in detail. I would highly recommend this Doctor and his staff.

Made the appt for a colonoscopy as I had just turned 50. Found Dr Kessler to be very attentive and interested, even as this was an appt for a baseline colonoscopy. On hearing family history, recommended a baseline endoscopy (as my Father had just died from esophageal cancer). I really liked him personally, but found him to be a very thorough and caring professional. I would highly recommend him and DID, to my husband..

He was a good communicator and had to always repeatedly ask questions as if hadn't even viewed the chart. It's almost impossible to get an appointment or to get a nurse to call you back.

Practically on wairing time for my new patient appointment! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Valet parking was great! Dr Kessler took the time to listen to everything I had to say. He performed an endoscopy and colonoscopy to be done the same day and I have to say it was about as pleasant as that sort of procedure could be. He was very pleasant and has a great bed side manner. I would definitely recommend Dr Kessler to friends and family.

At first, he got in and out of the exam room quickly but, as he learned more about my condition, he spent more time explaining. Once you get to know him, the visits are in depth. I've never had to schedule and urgent appointment so I don't know how that is. I gave it five stars as a default.
