Dr. Steven King, MD

After being diagnosed with ADHD nine years ago by my longterm therapist, my usual tools to work through symptoms stopped working. His counselor who did my screening questioned me for hours and then told me verbatim, "it doesn't appear you have this issue because you had good grades at times." The stereotype that a person has to fail at every class shouldn't be perpetuated by someone with a counseling background. I stuck with Dr. K for a few months because I had other issues I needed medication for, and he said we could revisit screening. I offered to sign a release for my therapist's case notes, but was told it wasn't necessary. I'd wait a half hour + past my scheduled times. Then wham bam, in and out with him barely looking at me and never getting to know me. I stuck around too long because I was afraid it would look like I was doctor shopping. I withdrew from school that semester because my head was swimming. I found an amazing new provider and am hating that I didn't leave sooner.

Probably about the worst staff possible. I liked my councilor but Dr Kong was very non caring about actually solving the problem. His office staff is absolutely horrid and rarely has any idea of what’s going on. They would rather argue than help solve the situation.

The office staff is rude, and is unwilling to work with a patient's primary care physician.
