Dr. Steven Knope, MD

Dr. Knope is a life-long learner, an essential characteristic in any competent physician. His knowledge base keeps expanding, enabling his keen diagnostic skills to see the whole picture and pinpoint concerns early.

This guy is beyond arrogant and disrespectful, and practices medicine as if he knows everything about a novel and evolving virus. He accused me of JUST being anxious and depressed and said I DID NOT have COVID during the peak of infection in NYC where there was delayed testing and antibody testing. I indeed had COVID and have LONG COVID (determined by specialists at Mount Sinai and Mayo Clinic; places with far more front line experience that don’t presume knowledge or gas light their female patients with mental illness causing their physical issues). I now have diagnosed dysautonomia and small fiber neuropathy from his wrongly labeled “anxiety and depression”. This guy practices concierge medicine all by himself, but acts like he is on the pulse of the pandemic. He’s on the pulse of himself and that’s it.

Concierge practice, so more time with patients. Personal service (not like large offices with lots of doctors and so many employees that they wouldn't know who you are) with friendly staff. Same day appointment when needed. I have never had to wait in the waiting room; My appointment time is when I am actually seen. Dr Knope is better informed than some of the specialists I have seen. Straight talk, not sugar-coated, right to the point.

He was completely unprofessional and very rude. I am a doctor and had contacted him about a mutual patient. He yelled at my assistant and called us incompetent. We only had a question about a patient. Do not see this guy. I don't know how he stays in business.
